agree, however from my vantage point one cannot be greedy with short term options because they can become worthless in the blink of an eye.
i sold a few of my contracts late yesterday to lock in profits, but it does 'feel' like we see AAPL above $120 this week. AMZN also has been strong, i sold one of my contracts yesterday late in the afternoon and am holding 2 $800 contracts.
Fin Prof, one reason why i like these kinds of companies is as you indicated, their shareholders (Baker Bros as example) and their partners. One i missed is MRUS, a different type of Bio but has Baker Bros in picture. My bid was sub $10 in Mid Sept and I just missed it.
i bought some last week at just over $12 ... was lucky with my entry. sold 1/3 at $13.75 but hope to buy it back for less if offered the opportunity.
NTLA is a spec bio, has 2 partnerships, one with Regeneron and the other with Novartis in addition to several owned programs. All their science is still in pre-clinic. Their first drug to enter clinical trials should occur in the second half of 2017 is for ATTR which is a rare genetic Liver disease (partnered with Regeneron). They have about 300 mil in cash with a burn rate about 20 mil a quarter. On Nov 2nd, their shareholders come off lock up. Very interesting company IMHO.
anyone with a long term view will be looking at these IBB levels in 12 months as a 'what was i thinking moment' .... i hope !
have held most of my shares since early May plus bought a lot of $10 calls in July that time, which went nuts. sold those and now hold some $12's and $15's
