DJ in Boulder, CO was just on the radio talking about how he was just talked into trying a mac by his wife... and now will never go back to a PC. It really was just huge unsolicited PR. There is definitely a new tide turning. Hell... I've been a PC guy forever... but the next time I buy a laptop will likely also be a Mac. Will wonders never cease???????????
My Microsoft OS has crashed AGAIN!!!... and I thought it was interesting when Microsoft sent me a note back... saying that I had to go to Intel to correct the problem...
Here's what the intel message said... Notice below that it says that this problem ONLY happens with Microsoft..
These types of errors indicate that the operating system has determined that the graphics driver was taking too long for an operation to complete and that the driver appears to have stopped responding. To the operating system, it appears as though the graphics driver may be stuck in an infinite loop. This sort of error only occurs in Microsoft* Windows.

Moral of the story is... get an Apple!
Got to tell you all I was wicked impressed. Lots of great product... that was very reasonably priced. Used to not consider apple because it was too expensive... but now with prices just about the same or lower... makes it much easier to buy apple. They also make it wicked easy to transfer all your MS files over to a Mac... hell... they'll even do it for you. And all you have to do is hold a ipod mini in your hand to know that there is no item out there that can touch or compare to the ipod. Apples has got a long way for its stock to run.
That was the most rediculous quote I had ever seen. Telling people to sell while still raising it's price target. Very misleading. What's their true motivation???
Quote from the NY Times article on this subject... bottom line... this is VERY good news for Apple.
QUOTE FROM ARTICLE IS BELOW...
"In the 23 years since I.B.M. lent its prowess in mainframe computers to the production of desktop machines, it has been widely criticized for having destined the machines to commodity status by giving Microsoft and Intel the rights to those essential standards. And although Apple Computer holds less than 4 percent of the personal computing market worldwide, it has been able to command relatively high prices and richer profits because it has controlled the software and hardware that goes into its machines.
Thanks for the ride. I definitely think it will wind up going back up... but not before we see the mid to low 50's. I had wanted to get out at a straight double... but did not realize I had to cancel my trailing stop loss before I executed my new trade to sell right now. Expensive mistake.
Grandevon... in response to your post... you make a couple of interesting comparisons to the fact that a real estate sale is much more complex than an online stock trade. Point well taken... however part of that is very good for ZIP for a couple of major reasons. First the commissions that ZIPR is bringing in are substantially higher than what you are able to garner from a online stock trade. And second and most importantly because the process is a bit more complicated... its very likely that ZIPR being the first major player in this space... will likely create a moat so big around itself... that no competitor will likely be able to compete with ZIP. And THAT is BIG stuff. Because Grand... the real estate market is a Trillion dollar a year business... and ZIP is in a prime position to take full advantage of this. No one is in a better position to do this than ZIP.
Again you mention online stock trading. However there are several major competitors in that space... chasing just a few dollars in a stock commission. But can you mention one serious competitor to what ZIP is setting themselves up to do? ZIP is THE player.
Make no mistake about it... that it will likely take some time before this stock starts flying... but as more and more people start buying and selling their homes in this way... Zip will be the primary beneficiary.
The numbers are already starting to bear this out... they did $800 million in sales the year before last and doubled that to $1.6 BILLION last year. Which is just a major small drop in the bucket to the Trillion dollar market that they are prime to take advantage of.
Lastly... take a look at who's running the company, and whose invested in it. These are not stupid people... but you will be... if you are not invested in them.
So that begs the question... if you are not invested in them... than you are really nothing but a short that is attempting to make your money by spewing negative BS. Sorry for the long post... but it took me this long to figure out that you were nothing but a short.
Good luck... but don't get caught with your shorts down.
Life is Funny!
I just pulled the following information from one of my provester reports on Fidelity. In one of these reports it shows the sales growth for the most recent quarter compared to the real estate industry, the sector of the real estate industry and also compared to the S&P.
The real estate industry's sales growth was only 18.1% last quarter... while ZIPs was 82.4%.
The sales growth in the S&P last quarter was only 16%... while ZIPs was 82.4%.
If you trade with Fidelity... go online and look at the reports yourself. They are free if you trade with them. The reports don't lie... the ZIP animal is definitely building up alot of steam.
All you have to do is get a USB hub that solves that issue for $30.
Great article on the mini in yesterday's Wall Street.
Go to the stores see how amazingly busy they are.
Get on the train... it's leaving without you.
Are you kidding me? I own a dell and there's nothing plug and play about it. Lots of configuring and set up. But got to admit the Mac makes things much easier and more intuitive. And even if you do plug something into the back of the mini its still twice as small as the nearest PC set up.
If any of you have not bothered to actually walk in to an apple store and see the new shuffle... you definitely have to.
It's so amazing, so small, so well designed... that it's something everyone is going to have... because it's a "gotta have"... and because it blows away anything that is out there... I was to wait 3 weeks until the next shipment is due to come in. It's definitley worth the wait.
Don't take my word for it.... go see it yourself.
So put your money where your mouth is... (like I just did) and buy some more (if you think its still priced below where it should be). It won't just get there by you standing on the sidelines and hoping it goes up.
Didn't mean to be rude. Was just attempted to goose everyone else who also believes in the stock to put their money where their mouth is.
Have a good nite.
A couple of good articles...
Important articles that everyone seems to be overlooking
