Thanks. I've been in & out of the stock, currently out and looking to buy again. Plenty of market technicians are looking for a market pull back after this five week rally. It's hard to go ahead and buy again right now. On the other hand it's hard to wait when you see a new $50 target. Sheesh
How do you guys rank Needham as reliable or influential? Positive, negative? Is CRUS actually down in the face of that $50 target simply due to Jabil results? Interesting.
Today an analyst at "The Street" says Costco is the one big-box retailer to own. Then 3 hours later an analyst there says it's time to sell or short it. Apparently they don't communicate much among themselves before posting articles.
I was going to say, what happened here today? Just people taking quick profits I imagine. Big pop at the open. I'm currently out of the stock, looking to buy again. Missed the move this week. Very unhappy about that. I gotta get back in on the next dip.
If was the intent today, it sure didn't provide much of an opportunity for them. It kind of looks like they'll need to produce heavier negative news. Unless it drops more next week.
Kind of puzzling price action today, at least to me. I've owned WDC a couple times before, planning to buy again. The stock up $3.00 earlier and then the biggest lot of the day sold into that. Followed by another pretty big lot on the upside. Drifting lower & lower since that one. The early pop was looking pretty good at first.
I thought "the boys" meant some of you guys who traded and invested in this stock for a long time. I misunderstood.
Yes, those of you who bought more on Monday got a discount. I already had as many shares as I wanted to hold at this time, and not a lot of cash in reserve. I've traded in & out of the stock a few times for fairly good profits. See where we go from here.....
if the stock didn't sell off 13% on Monday. Unwarranted concerns caused quite a bit of panic. The stock took an unnecessary hit. It's all about the guidance tonight now. Hopefully good enough for some further upgrades.
Thanks. I'm trying to decide whether or not to lock in the gains, and then see if it pulls back a little. I've owned WDC before, sold too soon. It went quite a bit higher. That's how you get torn between holding for more or selling to lock in the current profits. Not easy.
Wondering if any of you guys have that one too. I bought at $50 and it's over $61 now. Can't figure out why it's still going up in a down Nasdaq. It has a higher price target but so do many other stocks. There's a decent news article from yesterday. That message board is pretty dead so I posted here. Just wondering.....
Did you have the 6 before? The 6 was/is my first Apple product ever. Mainly been a Windows guy all these years. I did read the 6s is supposed to be nice & fast. One thing that I REALLY use a lot on the phone is voice dictation for email and texts. Much more than I thought I would. And it works better than I thought it would too. Congrats on the new phone......
Just rumors? On second thought, some people feel Apple stock is simply being used as a "source of funds" to move some money into other areas during the correction. Plenty of people have some nice profits there. Of course rumor originators always try to skew things into their favor a bit. Social Media helps there. Everything gets replicated so quickly these days. Even some blog post rumor.
If you look at July 23, volume of 9 million shares sent the stock up nicely. With Apple's price action in the last couple days it's probably many of those same people getting back out and trading the stock in sympathy with Apple -- again. Wrongly in my opinion. iPhone sales are predicted to continue strong. There are other reasons people are selling Apple, although iPhone saturation is being discussed a little bit.
I sold the last of my CRUS position up at $36. Mostly because of what I keep reading about the markets in general. Now I'm looking to take a new Long position right around this level. But I want to see things stabilize first. There's still profit to make on this stock. Shorts made some good money right now. Longs will get another opportunity too.
I noticed that story too. 90 Million!! Holy guacamole. I was one of the iPhone 6 buyers last year. First Apple product ever. Ended up buying an iPad Air later also.
