fabricone1: hope you are correct. however, i am very concerned with the unemployment (which is estimated by some to be around 37% which sounds scary), and the effects of affordable care which may really cut down on expendable income. i like you view better.
who are these people? and how do you know beforehand that a "buy" is being issued? hmmmm.....
short interest looks about average for a Bakken oil stock. i don't really see a problem. of course it is possible that the sky may be falling.
Rigdowntex: I have seen so many reasons put forth by "experts"as to why oil is going down, but I notice several of the valid ones have been omitted:
1. Alien invasion
2. Meteor strike that wipes out the entire population
3. Worldwide pestilence
4. A huge leak in the Bakken which results in the oil leaking into China.
These seem to me to be much more valid than some of the "prognosticators" have put forth.
p.s. I am somewhat worried about that "leak" theory.
I don't know how to interpret that. looks like KOG is trying to raise some money. Hope this isn't an omen of problems. I was going to add to holdings, but for now I think I will hold off and look at TPLM.
I seriously doubt if drilling or delivery is being overall severely impacted. May be wrong, but don't trust the agendas of some posters here. Wouldn't a slowdown of drilling and/or delivery actually push the prices higher? JMO. That being said, I am surprised that anyone is still holding a short position at these prices. This stock is not going to zero!
Is anyone considering a "what if" war in the Middle East? I'm wondering what if the Saudis get in a military action with Iran? Or for that matter, what if others get into it with Iran? The Iranis seem to insist on spitting into the wind and it soon might return to them. The odds seem fairly high altho the extent of actions is unknown.
Yahoo reports 10 funds and 3 institutionals owning Swir and reporting on Sept. 30. Don't know if this any help or not, but it was an interesting report.
I'm not really knowledgable on the subject of big fund purchases, but i think there might be some sites that would give out this info. Perhaps your broker would know.
I am really pleased to see you fcel doing so well. i had looked at it after your message and saw it getting pounded. hope it keeps on moving up for you.
They also did the same selling in 2012. I really don't see any problems with this. I would certainly unload some shares to pay taxes, etc.JMO
I cannot address down/upgrades, nor can I really tell what the stock price will be later on, but it is obvious if you would bother to look at the # of shares these "dumpers" received at the end of the year you could see for yourself that they are only selling a percentage of the "free" stock they received. This would seem to me to be a year end bonus for the officers and does not appear in any way to be some sort of "insider panic selling." You can even go back to Dec. 2012 and see the same thing. Simply a year end bonus. Try another path of negativity
Well, I bot some @.37 cents. I'm not sure how that worked, but it shows up on my MLF quote page. It actually seems like it may be worthless, but 14,000 + shares are showing today. Most days it just shows zero trades.
I appreciate your info. One final question: why would it no longer trade if it is an ADR? Please don't take this as a sarcastic question because you seem to be familiar with this co. I know that NWTLY is trading at $41.09 today.
Again, thank your and I wish you a blessed New Year.
You might consider selling enough shares to get your original investment back and holding the rest long term. you wouldn't lose any money this way and may experience continued profits if the stock appreciates. There is also the possibility that ddd may split again in the near future, but to say it will never pull back seems to be a rather naive belief. this stock has IMO dramatic pull backs and run ups.
