A smaller screen is innovation now! 4" is is perfect! Apple again is ahead of the curve in innovation!
That a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for Apple! Some owners will buy multiple cases too!
A guy name Ackman purchase 39 million shares of JCP. He paid about $25 per share. Now he going to dump it at $12.90. What a looser! Amateur investors like him should stay out of the market! Total lost will be over $400 million! Got to love these people with money to burn!
Not going be Elop. Took over Nokia as CEO with over 35% share; now is is 4%.
Rumors have it that Apple will only upgrade the processor and ad additional 512K MB of RAM for the refresh for 2013.
Just load up on Windows 7 and you should be fine for the long term.
Don't buy any Windows tablets until they fix the software so users can use it like the iPad! Tiles are so confusing and people are using icons. Microsoft needs to copy iOS and Android User Interface for it to be a successfully OS for Windows 9. All they need to do is replace the tile with an icon. That the trick and make it line up in a row and column. That might be hard to do; but if Apple and Google can do it; Microsoft has the personnel to make the changes. It should not take more then 2 years to complete these modifications.
If I were Microsoft; I charge more for Windows 7 then Windows 8! My pricing for a single Windows 7 Home Edition would be $200 and the Windows 7 Ultimate Pro Edition - single user version would be $600! Windows 8 would be the same price $100! Either you pay up to get something you know or study hard and pay the $100! Make sense! Microsoft will do well if they follow this suggestion.
All Microsoft needs to do is change their User Interface to be more like the other two - iOS and Android and they will be back in the game again. Should be that hard to replace the titles with icons and make a couple more minor changes and you have Windows Phone 9!
Talk with one of the top salesperson at At&T mobile and he said that Microsoft needs to convert their titles into icons and copy the look and feel of the iPhone and Android operating systems.
I have to agree with that since over 90% of the smartphones use this touch and feel User Interface. He feels if Microsoft did that; the sales of the WP8 could at least go up 500% if they also match the hardware specs of Samsung.
Does the company know or say anything about it being paid back? I would think that $134 million would be easy to check the balances unless it got paid back to the company. If it got paid back; then FUQI is in great shape. There were 50 of them made. So if the outside audits did not catch the cash; then I think it got paid back to the FUQI! Anyone know or have an opinion to share?
I am a financial analyst and been studying up on Nokia finances and valuation. I think that avgworkingman is close in the valuation of Nokia. It generates around one billion off of royalties and NSN is very valuable because of the 4G hardware and patents. Mapping/GPS is also valuable going forward since it is getting more into marketing/advertising related marketplaces. Nokia phones is a wash since Lumia are improving in sales but the feature phone business is getting killed by Chinese lowering the prices to nothing and Samsung is making very competitive feature phones to compete with Nokia's Asha line.
I am wait for either the iPhone 5S or 6; or the Samsung 5S to come out in the late fall to buy such a smatphone! I hope Nokia also follow the design of their competitors and has a bezel less design light weight phone.
No. It part of business life to sue for your patents and still do business with the same companies. It handled by outside law firms and litigation usually is settled in a couple of years. Nokia needs all the revenues it can get to get through this early stage.
I agree with this poll.
But the liberal media and liberal based think tanks just creates this urgency that a law has to be past and soon to prevent this and that!
Criminals don't obey laws but they cannot figure things like that out!
More laws to control the law abiding citizen and limit their freedoms. It a bunch of #$%$. We had AR since 1950s and before that submachine guns since 1918 that were sold in Sear Catalogs. Only in 1986 did a law restricting new automatic guns from being sold and now new laws for restricting gun purchases. But the criminal does not get guns from stores they get it mostly in the black market where guns are sold by gun runners and are traded or bartered. And the big crime families buy from arms dealers and we are not talking about normal guns either but fully auto weapons that you see in movies.
It was kind of surreal to see the CEO and SVP running away from even one question.
I will hold BX for another 6 years or until then IPO Hilton! I hoping it will double by that time of the IPO price so around $67 range.
$34 and change and it was back in 2007? I think. The DOW is at the peak and this is not even close to the IPO price closing in on 6 years. I did receive dividends so I not complaining much but still - you would think that Blackstone should be higher now then it was at the IPO.
Microsoft Needs to add back in the "Start Menu" and get back the option to boot to either Desktop or Tile. That was available on the pre-Windows 8 developers version. For some reason; they made the mistake of just taken all of the options way in the final version!
Mostly, all the people who used the pre-version loved it. None of those people have upgrade to the final version; since the pre-version is the best version.
It would be nothing for Samsung to buy out!
