29 stocks especially with some new ones are too many for me to follow. My pea brain can't do it. I only trade 2-3 with other long term holds.
I added another TSO Put that will provide shares in mid -low $60ies in January or chunk of cash. Also have loose shares with Covered Call on a portion.
Rofl, Who pays corporate taxes? Answer: The customer, the person who buys the product. Companies move to low tax venues to lower there price and remain globally competitive. Maybe just a little something from the 40% who pay no taxes. You must be a Bernie Sanders supporter.
When I was preparing income taxes for the IRS as a volunteer a customer was a family of Chinese nationals. Wife had a 45k job , husband was student and three kids. They did not have Ss numbers but had a letter from state dept. They usually netted a $6k-$10k refund. There was a certain credit that I did not think they qualified for and did not give it to them. The state dept took there side and the IRS ordered me to change there return. In there tax folder were delinquent credit card statements with American names but with there address . They knew nothing about it. They were the reason I stopped voliteering doing taxes .
In 1988 I had a argument with my manager and he won :) I worked as a carpenter for 10 months until I found another job in my field. I earned a average of $9.75 per hour for 45 to 70 hours a week doing commercial construction and was lucky plenty of work was available . I did not argue with my managers for the remainder of my career:)
I was once behind a young white couple at Foodlion. There was a NASCAR race that night in Concord and people who like raceing were stocking up to tailgate . He pulled up a new red Chev pickup out front . They paid cash for 5-6 cases of beer and used Food Stamps for the food. I was a bit angry and the clerk said it happened all the time.
J1, you seem to know very little of labor. Good Mexician labor does not work for peanuts. In the Charlotte area those with skill earn big bucks and are in high demand. The only Americans than will do hard physical work are rural farm boys like myself . Good workers who can pass a drug test are few and far between. Too many people have washed out depending on welfare . But you are welcome to your opinion as we all are.
Only problem is very few Americans are willing to hold a shovel at any wage. But our south of the border brothers would love to do the work. While we do have porous border problems that need to be addressed the US need Mexican labor.
I was rushed at the Dog Park and did not finish the post. I expect the refiners to post poor earnings reflecting the Summer maintence then some short seller StealingAlpoo type articles trying to start a mad exodus. Then it time to load up a bit.
I do hold some TSO with CoveredCall attached. Also selling TSO Put that might score cheap shares. So I'm a buyer on a big pullback when/if we have one. I'm light refiners with only 200 TSO shares and Puts in place with 75% cash at the ready.
Jman, We are between houses at the moment staying with daughters family with 3 year old grandson. He's in Goddard School during the day ,thank God ! He's flat out from 6am to 8pm bath time ,he will wipe us out over the weekend, no naps, in to everything, always climbs to the highest place available, falling and getting stitches and band aides . When we have him all day I go to bed with throbbing arthritis pain. I love him but he's tougher than I am.
While it's true the wisejman has had a bad streak lately , he will come back when he gets his thinking straight. He reacted when you were critical of his trading stratergy be going against anything you proposed and doubling down instead of backing down to regroup.
Ockiote, Please excuse the interruption but I must address your portrayer of Beans with your BBQ and Slaw. The only beans that cause any gastric distress are those undercooked . Properly prepared beans are essential compliment to good BBQ and slaw.
Sold remainder in PM and bought that part back $4.726 near open. Fed fear BS may take it much lower (I hope). i expect no interest rate hike before election but the fear generators might be cranked up just for fun:)
