Coldone Investing? That's a good one. Thanks for the laugh! I'd bet the SEC is already investigating this fake fraudulent Ponzi scheme, what with its multitude of boiler room corny ID's trying their best to get other "investors" to make up their losses, before it all goes belly up by the end of the week. 39.50 plus or minus 3.
No faith in this inept, or more likely, corrupt management. Sold off the earlier gains ... don't expect to ever see your Alibaba shares come home at current valuation. Management, aka The Cabal, will pocket much of it for themselves and their corrupt cronies before shareholders get it.
Ha Ha cold loser - you're crying because you've found out you too can get deleted and censored, since you insist on playing that game. Worse is on the way for you and all your creepy clown multiple ID's. Have fun kissing each other under the mistletoe at your Christmas party for Sybil. Tyler and palooza are waiting for that threesome in the bathhouse. BTW - Yahoo won't be tolerating your multiple creepy ID's any longer.
MB - What purging males from the workplace? What the hay? As much as I can't stand him, I might be forced to vote for Trump.
Now I see it. What, only $1B discount? Armstrong is going soft on MM. Where's Dan "Ashley Madisoni" Loeb been lurking these days? I always picture him in a clown suit.
Hello MB, good to see you still lurking around. I hope not in the woods, wearing a clown suit? I could use a good Yahoo laugh this morning, but don't know what Tim Armstrong news you're alluding to? Did Yahoo give up on beating Google in search? Can't be, Marissa Mayer is so close to "turning this company around." LOL Wonder how many gazillions in stook options she and the BOD have cashed out this month? The Cabal never sleeps!
Tottie, he already barks and wags his tail, anything for attention, and since all his losing phony buys, he's been begging for scraps at the table for years on end.
You nailed it Tottie, I love the Dembe character and actor ... adds so much depth to the show. My post got a bit garbled, Ryan Eggold is a decent actor, Tom also a fascinating character, but Megan Boone is more eye candy than actor, and just barely works in the role. You are so right that for all the dirty work Mr. Kaplan has done, and the apparent long standing loyalty to Red, it's totally senseless to have Red murder her for this one complicated transgression, especially, as you noted, she just betrayed a long-time friend for Red. Did Red also kill the bail bondsman? Getting ridiculous, as you can't just murder at will. But if it happens Kaplan's death was somehow also faked, beween the two of them, it will also be ridiculous to have in the story line including a second "faked" death. They're going to lose some of MY loyalty to the show, either way. As there is little else must-see TV for me, as my Sundays are already going down the drain with the Lions. Actually, I have a lot of work many weekends, so I'm almost better off not caring about Lions games. But I do, like a fool, I still do! Your Vikings look like possible Super Bowl material, making up for The Twins dismal season in a hurry. Maybe Coldone is finally showing a glimmer of humor with his fantasy Christmas party, but still amusing how I thinkshould you and I are one and the same poster. He sure doesn't remember our mutual animosity in the old days of the board, does he? I have to say, I wish Bravo and Gray would come back, even the self-styled " wise sage moderator," Pebble. I understand why Bravo got sick of him, besides, obviously, the two of us.
We'll at least, there will still be the Trump/Hillary soap opera/comedy hour to keeps us going until November, and the country descends into Civil War.
OK TTU and Tottie, go ahead and have your fun at my Lions' expense! Tottie, ie. The Blacklist: If Mr. Kaplan is indeed dead, the writers are making a big mistake. The strength of the show was that Red was a lovable criminal we could , a complex character we could empathize with, even if we don't have much knowledge of his past as The Concierge of Crime. If they have made him into a heartless killer of long-time friends, all that empathy goes down the drain. He reminds me of some of my favorite DeNiro roles, such as in Heat and Casino, where despite The DeNiro character being a criminal, you want him to win, and prefer him to "the law." Is that character gone? Well, if he turns out to be a real bad guy, and stole Liz from her real father, perhaps I'd give the writers props for being daring, and turning us on his character. But Megan Boone and Ryan Egg old are not actors, especially Boone can be almost awful, so Spader is needed in his complex role as mostly good guy to keep me interested. LOL - sure sounds like I'm writing about a soap opera!
Count me out. Not my idea of fun watching all of Coldone's dorky aliases kiss each other under the mistletoe, congratulating each other on the greatness of their phony buys. Tyler and Alibabapalooza and Gpengrenco, or whatever their names are, who can keep track, in a threesome? Yuck!
Tottie, there's some pretty darn good box wine out there, did you ever try Black Box? Even my one brother, who fancies himself a wine snob, admits it's pretty good. I have to say, right now a bologna on white with mayo sandwich, with a glass of Cabernet Black Box to wash it down, might not be all bad in helping wash from my mouth the bitter taste of defeat my Lions suffered at the paws of TTU's Bears. Pathetic. Perhaps we have witnessed the end of Jay Cutler. To be fair, my Lions are already decimated by injuries, and Caldwell is hopeless as head coach. Michigan sports radio was fun today, a call in show with fans laying odds on whether Caldwell or Ausmus gets canned first, and if they both do soon enough. Not a good weekend in the Motor City.
Watched The Blacklist new season episode again last night, enjoyed it more the second time around. Maybe I was hasty in thinking it was losing its mojo, I probably was just busy and distracted, and not in the right frame of mind for TV.
Tottie, you know I am suspicious of Yahoo management. I tend to think if one likes Alibaba, and I also see potential, despite concerns about accounting and Chinese bad loans spilling over into equities, it might be more prudent to buy BABA, rather than YHOO. As often seen here, Yahoo shareholders seem to be just pawns for management, who could create less about them, if they enrich themselves in the process. The Cabal is relentless.
And for the few people whom want to rip on me, and aren't aliases of a single weird poster here, I only made a prediction about the final resting share price of Yahoo, in its entirety, or after all is sold in pieces, since nobody wanted the whole complicated shebang, not about where the share price went in the meantime. And it was meant with the intention to shock into reality the many predicting 50 plus, 60, even 70 and 80 a share! Obviously, wherever it ends up, it seems my lowball prediction will likely be much closer to accurate, and by some bizarre accident, even be spot on! I could care less, but it would end being crazy funny! I would like to think I might have influenced some from wasting money on far too optimistic call options.
Tottie, BABA is on fire, but still not as hot as The Detroit Tigers and Justin Upton, as a Twins fan knows all too well. Not sure if you saw my post a few days ago, where I was getting more bullish on BABA, but Jack Ma still concerns me. Had thought of going long, but unlike an infamous liar here, I tell the truth, and never pulled the trigger. Mostly because I've been happy to not be in the markets, at all! But BABA certainly was a temptation.
OT on The Blacklist: I hope I'm wrong, but I fear the best writing, acting, and action is behind us.
Glenfern, I suggest it was the magnitude of the breach, and claims of a foreign government involved, that was even more of a shocker. If it were just old news, then why did Yahoo stock fall 3% today? Also, "old" news doesn't get reported from CNBC to Bloomberg to AP to Drudge to NPR to major network news, etc., ad nauseum.
