no updates from management is what makes me fear whatever is going on is not on the up and up.
who knows, maybe they will surprise us, and I hope they well. but usually companies that are honest and care about the shareholders who funded the company favor clear communication over obfuscation and silence.
our one hope is that there is a good reason for their silence and it concerns a deal from which shareholders will benefit. I hope so for our sakes, and for the otherwise damned souls of management.
where is the fight going on?
on what front is progress being made toward the goal of shareholders being made whole?
Where are shareholders having their say? Who is listening?
Please give me some hard facts, showing that this scenario is AT ALL plausible -- that it is at all plausible that management will be jailed and we will get the company back.
I know that's what you want--everyone does. But it's over. They declared bk, and shafted investors in court.
Give me some hard facts showing this will be overturned, management jailed, and shareholders made whole.
Only hard facts. I don't want wishes and dreams and hopes.
If the warrants are not worthless, then how do we get value from them? There is no way for us to get any value out of these warrants right now. So that means, at present, they are worthless. And we also have no clear information about how we will derive value from these warrants in the future. We are completely in the dark. To add insult to injury, we can't even take our gigantic ANV losses, and get a tax loss out of all this. So we are just sitting here waiting for something to happen -- what, when? No one knows.
This was my biggest gold position. Even with the raging bull gold market underway, I'm not even close to making up the loss from this ONE investment.
What is going on with this? Why do these empty useless warrants continue sitting in my account?
When will shareholders get justice? How?
Give me some hard facts that show the possibility of this.
When are we going to get some definitive news about the direction/fate of this company?
The value of this company, based on assets and development potential, obviously far far outrstrips the current share price. The current share price reflects the assumption that the company will go bk, and shareholders will get nothing.
But if rby is going to declare bk, why haven't they done it?
For how long longer can this continue with absolutely no announcement regarding direction?
The whole situation becomes increasingly ridiculous each day in light of the current gold environment, with most miners (including the most risky and most dubious outfits!) having skyrocketed 200-500% since january, as RBY sp stagnates, with shareholders left at a total loss.
How is this even possible? How much can shareholders be left in limbo?
We have entered a new gold bull market. A raging bull. RBY properties have immense value. And shareholders of this company have all been left for dead.
This is possible the most absurd investment situation I have ever encountered.
in case you can't read it, let me spell it out for you:
Harry's past investments include AddThis (acquired by Oracle), Cvent (NYSE: CVT, acquired by Vista Equity), Echo Global (NASDAQ: ECHO), Eloqua (NASDAQ: ELOQ, acquired by Oracle), GlobalLogic (acquired by Apax), Groupon (NASDAQ: GRPN), Merlin Securities (acquired by Wells Fargo), OPower (NYSE: OPWR, acquired by Oracle), Pentaho (acquired by Hitachi), Riverbed Technologies (acquired by Aether Systems), SolidFire (acquired by Net App), SourceFire (NASDAQ: FIRE, acquired by Cisco), Vertica (acquired by Hewlett Packard), Vonage (NYSE: VG) and webMethods (NASDAQ: WEBM, acquired by Software AG).
FINALLY, we've got an activist investor on board!
He's taken a 29.6% stake in the company, so shorts are going to be rushing to get a change of pants about now.
Longterm investors can sit back and relax. Just let this one coast toward the finish line.
Stock surging 17% in AH trading.

Reid from conference call:
As we watched several industry peers declare bankruptcy during 2015’s tough and volatile metal market, Gold Resource Corporation posted annual net income of $3.1 million or $0.06 per share. In addition to posting net income during a challenging year, we return $6.5 million back to our shareholders through dividend distributions.
We continued to invest in the company’s future growth in Mexico and gained a stronger presence in Nevada. We accomplished this without raising money and without going into debt.
too busy trying to cover their AMD or dealing with the closure of their accounts which went belly up, to have time to spread fear on the Yahoo forum.
ultimate buy signal.
Buy at will boys! with both hands!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
yeah I remember it alright. Back at the turn of the century it rose about 95% in two or three days and fell just as fast. Lost total investment on that dog with fleas during the dotcom bust.
the whole 5 dollar thing is basically a myth. yes there are funds whose managers can't buy stocks under 5. but there are plenty who don't have those rules, and hedge funds make their own rules. so the idea that this really affects stock price is probably misguided.
keep in mind Vanguard, one of the most conservative risk-averse institutions out there, is one of the largest holders of AMD stock! and no, they won't be buying more when it's over 5.
AMD is going to soar. but the more important factors in its rise are likely to be short covering, reversion to the mean, and growing optimism about the future.
those who loaded up here in expectation of a turn will be amply rewarded for the risk they took.
never say never. remember the price tulip bulbs were selling for way back when?
I understand your point. you are saying, fundamentally speaking, you don't see how AMD can reach that price. and you may be right where fundamentals are concerned, unless AMD keeps improving in that regard year after year. but even without fundamentals, the market will do what the market does, and it doesn't usually match rational expectations.
Over the last few years AMD was beaten down far more than anyone could have imagined and it will likely exceed any gains we can imagine now.
