  • Gee, just think of the massive WE Energy coal ash spill into Lake Michigan at Oak Creek. They avoided a state lawsuit as Scott Walker's DNR isn't enforcing clean water laws. Lead article today in the Republican rag, The Wisconsin State Journal, is even criticizing him.
The scarcity of clean water is getting more imperative everyday and WE Energy is going to get clobbered when Dominion loses its federal lawsuit over damaging the ground water in the Elizabeth River system from its fly ash.
    Keep burning that coal, Klatt!

  • AMELIA, Ohio — Authorities say the owner of an Ohio gun shop teaching a concealed carry class was fatally shot in the neck by a student who accidentally fired a weapon.

The (Cincinnati) Enquirer reports (http://cin.ci/1UI2z35 ) 64-year-old James Baker was shot Saturday while students practiced weapon malfunction drills. The Clermont County Sheriff’s Office says about 10 people were taking the class at the time at KayJay Gun Shop in Monroe Township, about 25 miles southeast of Cincinnati.

Baker died at the scene. The student who fired the weapon was too busy checking the price of wound care company stocks to render first aid or call 911. The other class members were preparing to shoot each other thinking it was a class lesson when someone recalled shooting another person was not a good thing.

According to the gun shop’s website, the concealed carry class included basic pistol safety instruction, shooting range sessions and a review of Ohio’s gun laws. In light of the situation funeral planning maybe added.
