I,m in for roughly USD 15 p share. The ¨original¨ MGT medical company. Had 10.000 shares, sold during the downfall and kept 500 to see what happens. Sold them last week during the spike for USD5.15 What a disaster this has been for me. Never seed money or start ups anymore. Buy them after they have fallen down, they all do! Good luck tyA.

First time posting here. In the list of miners to invest in I miss Yamana and Kinross. Played them both with Jan 18 calls. At that time, Febr 16 almost no premium for time. Dirt cheap. Doubled and tripled. As well as long calls SLW. Cheerio

  • As long as they can keep up with new promises and inventions, there will always be "followers", believers as you will, just as in religion. In the real world, Tesla is not going to make any profit distributable to shareholders. They can invent new accounting metrics, but in the end there is nothing for shareholders. When that reality sinks in, this stock will march lower, much lower. The emperor will have no cloth, only stories to tell. That is my take. So indeed I have certainly not a long position. Reality check.! Cheerio

Haha the BOD did it again! They invest $45 Million in Shanghai for bumping. That is a typical "Chinese" transaction. They buy the site from fam and friends, overpay 3 times, no controls , just funneling money from Taiwan in their own pockets. And what are "shareholders" doing?, figuring out what it means for future profits, markets and esp how pps of 8150 will rise. Hahaha, Oh my dear, I hear the foul mouthing coming again. Don't shoot the messenger. How long are you going to take it all here? I just saw the pps and had to see what is happening. It is clear to me. Cheerio

When you follow this stock you'll immediately notice this is NOT normal trading. On big volume the quotes are jumping 30 to 40 cents at a time. That Is NOT normal. It is HFT. Very little small investors involved. It is what it is: Just a PLAY (ground for HFT's). Disgusting new normal.

well that is a bit too much wouldn't you think. But quite a bit lower would be logical. A lot of CAPEX, no dividends in the coming 5 years, growing competition. So I don't see the "value" here but I have no doubt in my mmd this company is being pushed by government. (via the investment banks and the Plunge Protection Team). In the end it comes down to a commercially good business model and that will disappear with the disappearing subsidies worldwide for Electric Cars. S0 who wouldn't like to spend USD 160 for a share in a company that just released dramatic bad results. But hey, it is not their own money they are spending (these investment banks). Printed free of charge by the FED. What a beautiful system. Wish I had such a printing machine in my home. Cheerio

You are so correct: Analists KNOW best. They have a stellar record in advice (to get rid of your hard earned money). Sell advice when the damage has been done, buy when the PPS has sky rocketed. Broken record story. I for sure don't know what is going to happen to the stock price of QCOM but nor do these analysts. Sentiment is not good. And if tomorrow a plane hits the Whitehouse we all have a blue hat and can forget all advice, isn't it?

    Odds and Ends (Part 2)

Agree with both writers but must make 2 remarks (that I made a few times before and was offended for): 1.The word "cheating" does nOT exist in Chinese culture/language. This is so vital to understand. The management of IMOS will be regarded VERY high in Chinese community because they were smarter than those stupid investors. Don't yell at me, this is fact in the Chinese culture. (No courts to sue for lost deals, unless criminality is involved). That is not the case here. promised to increase shareholder value. Yes they did, but not on an equal basis for all shareholders. The common got some increase, the insider circle shareholders got a lot of increase. That is how it works in the Chinese culture, first family, than good friends and all others outside those 2 circles can be treated less well. That is the lesson of investing with the Chinese. Even people like Caff were only used to their benefit but was only rewarded a little bit more. (info and more shares with a share issue). Take care, more bad winds to come out of China and the markets in general.

I'll try to keep it as short as possible. You are correct in your line of thinking. The problem is, was and will remain : there is a basic difference in the way of thinking and dealing between the East and the West. In IMOS case,The Taiwanese don't see it as screwing the Western shareholders, they are just SMARTER. Compare IMOS with many Chinese reverse listings in the US that have ended in tears. Be happy they screwed you "only a bit".! Forget it, move on. There is nothing to see anymore here. Think twice when investing in Chinese owned companies. Ps I lived and worked with the Chinese for more than 10 years.!!! No Sean, no need to reply to me.

    Shareholder activism and lawsuit

You know that song from Supertramp?:Dreamer!. This is the deal. If you believe the offer is undervalued, keep your 8150 shares and enjoy the ride. If you don't have faith in your Taiwanese BOD sell and move on. Never a lawsuit solved anything. And as I stated many times before: The word"cheating" does NOT exist in the Chinese culture/language, only smarter/dumber. The Chinese tend to favor the smarter. On top of that there are no legal ways in China or Taiwan to get a business matter solved! Unfortunately for all investors that are used to "call your lawyer first". Oops, i hear the foul words of Sean coming again. Cherio

  • NUGT is manipulated to the extreme. Its performance is measured on a daily basis. As long as Gold is under attack of Central Banks by paper selling and the stocks of Gold miners are shorted till zero, buying NUGT under these conditions is financial suicide! It is unbelievable that the Central Banks would fall to such disgraceful manipulation, only to continue to print worthless currencies. How long this ponzi scheme can continue? Till the confidence in fiat money is gone. And till such a time the Gold and Silver industry will be destroyed, relentless, including its investors. Cherio

Just I said before, you take this so personal. Pity for you. Continue your agony. Feel the relief if you start to make DECISIONS in stead of complaining and biting people whose info might be useful (but doesn't fit in your narrow minded thinking and handling). I will not reply to you anymore and I do not appreciate any reactions from you anymore either (but that will be impossible I'm afraid). And as I always said and still do: Cherio

LITIGATION? Western people always think in terms of litigation, esp american peoples. Chinese (incl Taiwanese) don't include litigation in their thinking.I said so already here 5 years ago. Actionclass against what? An empty shelf in Bermuda? Wake up. You have no legal means whatsoever against this company and/or entity. They have- and will -outsmart all foreigners. They USE them as long as THEY benefit more. When that is over it is GAME over. Lesson for free! :-)
And plse don't kill the messenger.

correct. Sold in tranches between 21 and 25. But that was not my point. Like the previous reply from sean, he misses my point completely and he gets vindictive. I just noticed the same "atmosphere" was till around. Frustration and complaining about management and the eternal tomorrow it will be better solutions. From a business perspective as leading shareholder in other companies the moment BOD promises and under delivers continuously, it is an ominous sign. Than I'm out or selling the business. And yes i live in St Tropez but that is just my holiday adres. I am domiciled in the Swiss Alps and native Dutch. And yes I wish everybody all the luck and healthiness in te world. And I do not need to gloat to feel better.Would be rather enjoying and waste of time, isn't it?

Good day, just checked in to see what is going on here. Nothing changed since I sold in the mid twenties ages ago , same complaining about management etc. All the upside potential , etc. Remember, they are Chinese (Taiwanese are same Chinese peoples, only another country, haha), they outsmart westerners all the time. Remember this! They will only enrich you if they enrich themselves twice as much. If you know that , the irritation becomes less.
