Hey Stocktrax, Duex, Luke, Babs, which by the way are all familiar names which I think a few others will agree. I was just suggesting the move was related to some news. So how am I insinuating anything other than there is some news out there and not hard to find. So I was just suggesting people find it and make an informed decision about nothing probably. And you might notice I responding to a post that said if there was news pps might take off. But I didn't expect anything less than another swipe at me from you.
LOL, Stocktrax that is interesting. You act like this is all people invest in. I am getting the feeling Deux you got butt hurt and can't handle it. Take your own advice, get over it and move on! And I see you recently claimed a new poster was me. Well it's not, but what else should I expect from you! I have been everyone from Jody to her boyfriend and a slew of other posters. No one I know has time for games, only trolls with no vision or butt hurt posy non relevant bs. But like you I see a sea of opportunity! So swim away Duex, swim away!!
Myra’s vBloc Story: Subtracting Medication
June 23, 2016
I do not know where time goes! I went to Dr. Dietrick last week and have lost 5 lbs. in 6 weeks. I am thrilled with the progress. Additionally, I did get my blood test back and it is through the roof good!! With each pound, I am feeling better. This is a very slow process but it looks like I might lose 40 to 50 pounds the first year! My family Doctor has dropped 3 of my meds and said as the weight loss continues, he can most likely drop 2 more. That would leave me with 1 pill, not bad for a 66 year old. It is so exciting to be subtracting medicines and not adding them.
The FDA approved an external pump that dumps part of the stomach contents into the toilet called Aspire Assist.
The device is considered minimally invasive and includes a tube that goes from the inside of the stomach to a port on the outside of the abdomen. The pump can be attached to the outside port as needed to remove about a third of the stomach's contents at a time. Some critics have called it "assisted bulimia" but the device, approved for use in very obese patients, helps them lose on average more than 12 percent of body weight far more than pills or most diets. The device was already approved in EU. There's no mention of price yet but if they are successful and this device catches on I would be stunned. For one it would tell me the idiots in Minnesota have no fuxxing clue how to market a product, well we kind of already knew that I guess.
Here is how it works
When I stepped out of the room for a second earlier today out of nowhere blaring through my computer speakers (I like it loud) I heard a familiar sound. It was a Belviq ad in voice coming through my computer. It was odd. I was minimizing screens, scrolling up/down and nothing, no video just a loud voice which lasted about 30sec. I haven't done a search for Belviq or anything similar in quite a long time. Maybe others have heard it I don't know. But I haven't heard any Belviq advertisement in a very long time. So I thought it was quite odd.
Already 3 times as many units as first quarter not many I know but more than Duex proclaimed. There are patients in the funnel who started in April. So they didn't give a number how many people where in the funnel. But of those patients July would be their eligible dates for surgery amusing patients are going through the normal 3 month period from initial contact to surgery. This common with all weight related surgeries. Surgeons are excited with results and more surgeons are wanting to be trained which is being done now. There is a high public interest in the two-year data which is under final review. There are other tid-bits if you get a few minutes to listen. They address cash and stock price which we all know is an issue.
The two surgeries mentioned in the PR where two patients who had the sleeve which failed. So each were offered the option to proceed with duodenal switch, gastric bypass, or VBLOC. It's not hard to see why they chose VBLOC being it's the least invasive and least restrictive procedure available. That is what the PR was about. Did you listen to the call? I'm willing to bet no or you would know there have been more than two surgeries during the Q. Just wanted to clear that up, now you can go back to your bashing ways.
I agree insiders don't have to be such pigs but it's more than that. "One of dumbest thing I ever seen stated"? Doubt it!! But that's fine, you're entitled to your opinion. I'm about to go MIA anyway, the board (except for a few) has become pretty much as useless as Lea.
Someone is trying to steal the tech before it gets coverage, hell it may be the institutions which is on the rise. If ETRM fails it will be because they where robbed!!
I agree Gary but I do think if they can show some traction and get some sort of coverage soon the market would be a little less forgiving. And something tells me with any sign of traction they will find the money. I'm just hoping someone like Medtronic ect... are waiting for some patient results and to see how insurance providers are approaching vbloc.
What stuck out to me in the article was "weight loss surgery even for some patients who are only mildly obese." Mildly obese? No one is going to have their guts ripped apart if they're mildly obese. The only way I see any relief for investors is if Monday we hear there are hundreds of self-pay patients who have committed to vbloc who are being prepared for surgery. Also for what it's worth I think this will be our best quarter to date considering Winthrop came on board several months ago. Time is ticking though and the market isn't going to wait. We need some deep pocket investors who see the potential and don't mind waiting a few years for a return. I'm sure they'll be listening in on Monday.
Not sure I'm done guessing what is going on. But we are now within the 3/6 month window for Winthrop employees and their spouses who are eligible for surgery. I also remember Gladney saying there would be another VBLOC institute announced as well another country in 2016. What would be nice to know is if this is a new country or one of the many already cleared in. We are also nearing the so called "2 year wait for observation/patient results" that insures look for when providing coverage for new medical devices. Gladney needs persuade deep pockets if ETRM is on to the road of recovery. A partnership would be great news!
Interesting they are holding a conference call in a week two weeks later than ER. He said there would be an update when substantial progress has been made. Fingers crossed!!
Gladney said a couple months ago another country would be announced this year. If the UAE isn't it Gladney should be making a phone call his first priority Monday morning. VBLOC has already been approved in United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Australia. Unfortunately it sounds like a rat race with other companies working on similar techniques that if successful are 2- 5 years away from market.
Just to be clear I didn't ask anyone to join me in this endeavor. I guess when you've been critical of management or post facts about the tech or company it puts a bulls-eye on your head. Who knew? But, people are getting healthier losing a lot of weight reducing the cost off expensive meds related to weight issues, diabetes ect... So VBLOC works is reversible and no one has or will have it for weight loss unless their patents are junk, I don't believe they are.
Still hopeful they can turn the ship upright, no doubt time is ticking!!
