WMB is about the absolute worst performing stock symbol, in 2016, in the oil and gas space ... by a very, very large %. Why is that???
Or is it as I suspect, machine generated ?
No one really knows what the WMB will do. Nat gas rising should bode well for the future, if standalone ... the selling is irrational
What price do you expect for ETE and WMB, if the deal gets scuttled? Interesting, today, ETE is leading ... and why is that, after yesterday's decline?
Court should find the preferred deal is not appropriate. Tax ruling ... maybe that is enough to kill it ... sounds too simplistic. I truly do not know how the outcome goes, but think Warren will not just sit by and let the deal happen ... how does he get out of it? Why do you say 20% gain in a few days?
Harehau, if mkt does not see a deal, why is ETE going down so much? The testimony has been quite telling, Warren was doing whatever he thought he could do to kill the deal. We knew that ... now what is the end result? Will WMB benefit more than ETE or not?
Mkt up, nat gas breaking out, crude near highs ... and WMB is not even close to it's 2016 highs (whereas most every other oil and gas is well above it). High for WMB was first day of 2016 ... went straight down from $25 area to $10 and now at 22.50 ... BIG DEAL! Relatively speaking, if you have been a LT shareholder, you are NOT happy and I do not know when you will be happy again???
WMB should not want to close the deal to become one with ETE. WMB will go down, if it happens. Maybe not in the long run, but in the short run, it is bad. WMB better alone
Maybe WMB is owed a penalty fee, but the vote still takes place. If deal goes through, ETE drags everything down? Maybe ETE restructures the deal and then a new vote is set up
Breaking down further. How to assess it, in light of WMB? Most every other oil and gas stock is up significantly today ... pretty lousy showing by ETE. K Warren has really helped his shareholders get sub par results
The reporting on this sordid deal has been more aimed to mislead then to provide any real analysis. Buyer beware of news sources, because they are not your friend. Agree, WMB should be better standalone ... analysts have been raising their EPS the last few weeks. Question, how much of WMB earnings are tied to their fees for the transfer of gas and what effect does the price of the commodity have on their total earnings?
