Anyone listen to the conference call that can chime in? I looked at earnings this morning and they looked terrible. Most of day looked like others agreed, but someone bought a bunch in last half hour. Was a buyout hinted at?
The revenue number is going to hit the stock tomorrow. Hopefully I'm wrong and it can continue its upward momentum. I do see some positives here.
Man I need something positive here. I like the last two days. I've been holding some shares for close to a year at close to a 50% loss.
Yep, looking good. I'd like it to get to 5 before earnings, maybe asking too much. Still think it's cheap here.
bought 500 myself yesterday. made good money on this stock before, hoping to do so again. luckily I was out before the last earnings report, which obviously destroyed this stock very quickly.
Not much talk here I guess, took a shot a few days ago at 5. Think the risk/reward is worth it. Even with energy performing badly as a group, I like the growth prospects here. With that said I won't hesitate to take a quick profit if I think it is is warranted and am given the chance.
Glad I sold this at $6.90. What do you guys think of it at current levels? Should I buy near $5?
Did they provide any guidance? Why the big drop?
Figuring out their earnings report is a head-scratcher too. Do they ever break it up into quarters? I have no idea what they actually earned in the 4th quarter, they just list FY11 vs FY10. Am I supposed to calculate it myself? Are they hiding something?
Looks ugly, hoping for a good conference call. The report and loss may be overlooked if they say good things. Still was hoping for a lot better.
Eddie, you really are an imbecile. You are a joke on this message board and I really would prefer that you stop posting here as much as I hope the MMC bashers would as well.
I really thought probably had an s in it too. It must be a coincidence that the s is next to the a on the keyboard. Sorry for the oversight, you seem to be such a smart guy yourself. I wouldn't point out ridiculous errors such as that one if I were you.
Eddie, that probsbly is the last stop, at least for a while. I think $32 is a fair value right now until MMC shows some consistency in their earnings. Obviously a major announcement might make it go higher, but I think a potential Putnam sale is already priced into the stock. If they get more than the street thinks they will though, that will be good for shareholders. This stock was a major buy in the twenties like I said, but I'd be wary of this stock if it went much higher.
When was this stock at $67 in the last 5 years? Your numbers don't match up, $36 increase from today?
...but I knew results would turn positive. This stock was way undervalued and most everybody, except for the majority of people on this message board, knew so. Keep up your negativity though, it just makes us work harder to prove you wrong. There is still a lot of work to do, but this will continue to be a great company, despite the trying last two years.
Why would you listen to what anyone on this board has to say, and I guess that includes me? Honestly this board is full of whiners, complainers, bitter ex-employees, people who wish harm on anyone that works for MMC, etc. You name it, they are on here.
This company will be fine in the long-run. Something definitely has to be done, and I'm confident that the right part or parts will be fixed or possibly moved. I'm not happy with how long it is taking for a turn-around to happen, but it will happen.
I just feel bad for people who had all their retirement money in MMC stock before Spitzer, or unjustly lost their jobs because of a fe bad apples. Luckily I wasn't overly affected either way, and I am fortunate in that regard.
