I'm wondering why this stock went down while all the other stocks had a strong day. I guess I've got no worries one way or another cause I'm in it for the long haul, but I am curious.
Oh, it also looks like it's time for my favorite game: What do you predict the 2nd quarter earnings will be? I'm thinking $0.20/share. However, the swings in crude oil pricing are hard to deal with.
I took the opportunity to increase my holdings to 10000. (Actually, I'm not quite at 10,000, but I'm counting my wife's holdings too.) My plan is to increase my holding to about 25000 shares and hold for 3 to 5 years and then re-assess.
I'm thinking the opposite. I expect this stock to recover over the next couple of months, but the true gains should be in the long run. I can afford to accumulate for the next couple of years. I'm looking to increase my position from about 9400 shares to about 25,000. It easily has the capability to double, but if not, it's a good safe investment to park my money in for the next couple of years. I know this business is cyclical and thing do change over time, but the dividends alone will pay for the stock over the next 5 years. I wouldn't put all my money in any one investment, but this is a good one - or at least as good as anything else out there. Hell if it looks promising enough, I'll double my targets. I would love to see this dip another point or two.
