The deal would cost around $150 billion. Allergan would have to take on too much debt so I seriously doubt that this deal will happen.
Frost has been buying shares for years, regardless of stock price. Shows he has great faith in what he is putting together.
Why do you think that? I'm not so sure. I do know that Hillary is a lier who will say anything regardless of the facts. She has been wrong on all foreign matters she has been involved with.
I sold my shares. I'm up just about 45% which is good enough for me. Another point isn't going to matter at this point. I can put that money towards my next investment. Good luck.
Nice to see a big pharmaceutical company join the mix. This will probably help increase the bid. My original thought was MDVN would go anywhere from 65 to 75. With MRK in the mix, I'm thinking 75 looks more realistic.
Your wrong. Gild is a company with good selling drugs which produce a steady stream of cash, a solid pipeline of new drugs that will continue to produce. They have a solid balance sheet and give shareholders a decent return in the form of a solid divided. They are a good investment for the long term. They are a good value play.
I agree. I think the stock is over sold. I opened a small position today. My thinking is that in 2 or 3 months, I should see a gain of 6 to 10%.
Right now it looks like mdvn is valued at roughly 10B. With several companies interested, the buyout price could go as high as 13 to 15B. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. With Gild guidance being scaled back, mdvn could offer another an interesting look.
I have to ask, do you just write #$%$ for the sole purpose of letting people find out that your a moron? If so, congratulations you succeeded.
They should only buy another company of they find value. I know MDVN has opened up their books. That might be something that is a worthwhile investment.
Going out of business? Man your crazy. They may not be a growth company any more but they have good long term value. Lots of cash on hand (regular divided increases), and strong pipeline (continued positive cash flow). They may even go on a buying spree.
Very well said. If your an investor, Gild has great potential, great balance sheet, good pipeline and a solid divided that will continue to grow over time.
I was thinking around $65 to $75/ share. But that was with only 1 company doing the bidding. If 2 companies, especially 1 as big as Gild, that price could go as,high as $85/share. Just my opinion.
I see them looking to aquire another company. They have a good balance sheet and will look to put that cash to work. Maybe MDVN?
Gild earnings were not as good as expected and guidance was lowered. They are under pressure to make a bold purchase and rumor has it they may be interested in MDVN now more than ever.
