Saw an incorrect thing from MIDNIGHT TRADER. Not an increase. They paid 9 cents last quarter.
I have to say I didn't think LOAN would trade at a 6.45% yield but it is. SO is another stock that I like for the long term but I peeled off about 10% because its come up so much.
07/01/2016 (MT Newswires) -- Manhattan Bridge Capital, Inc(LOAN) said pre-market Friday it will distribute a quarterly cash dividend of $0.09 per share payable on July 15 to holders of record on July 8, up from a prior quarterly distribution of $0.085 per share declared in Feb.
And they haven't given any indication that is the case.
17.3% upside if we indeed get the $4.
It looks like it fell from $38.75 to $28.41 in recent years for a decline of 26.68% in recent years. (08-09)
That kind of bath would hurt. But it would be a good buying opportunity. If you didn't buy at $34 thinking it wouldn't go lower.
Ive only been here about 3 and a half years. I know my first buy was at $44.40 and then awhile later I got some at $40.51 and later again at $45.01. Those were my only 3 buys except Dividend reinvestments.
I'm curious how much SO might have pulled back in the past from prior highs in the past in various market environments.
Has it even fallen 25-30% from its prior highs ?
Item 8.01. Other Events.
As previously disclosed, on November 1, 2015, Hutchinson Technology Incorporated (the “Company”) entered into an Agreement and Plan of Merger (the “Merger Agreement”) with Headway Technologies, Inc., a California corporation (“Parent”), and Hydra Merger Sub, Inc., a Minnesota corporation and wholly owned subsidiary of Parent (“Merger Subsidiary”). Pursuant to the Merger Agreement, Merger Subsidiary will merge with and into the Company, and the Company will continue as the surviving corporation and as a wholly owned subsidiary of Parent (the “Merger”). Parent and Merger Subsidiary are each beneficially owned by TDK Corporation (“TDK”).
On December 16, 2015, the Company and TDK each received a request for further information (the “Second Request”) from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (the “FTC”) in connection with the FTC’s review of the transactions contemplated by the Merger Agreement.
The Company previously expected to complete the transactions contemplated by the Merger Agreement during the second calendar quarter of 2016. However, the FTC is continuing its review and has not indicated when its review may be completed.
Completion of the transactions contemplated by the Merger Agreement remains subject to the termination or expiration of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended (the “HSR Act”), and the satisfaction or waiver of the other closing conditions specified in the Merger Agreement.
If you cant see that, its by design, Its called brain washing.
I had a sell order in at $51.74 to sell less than 15% of my position but I raised the price.
Im afraid of losing my position and being unable to buy it back at lower prices.
My buys were at lower prices... 44.40, 40.51 and 45.01 as well as dividend reinvestments along the way.
The best move might be to do nothing for another 20+ years.
We need to see some executives led away in handcuffs, massive changes to the business model and a $1 billion fine.
That means a stock price below $20.
I thought a big market down move would have a negative effect.
I'm here for the duration. Just thought a 5-6% down move would mean an equal percentage decline in FUR.
On the other hand, SO has held up well. A flight to quality I guess ?
So we have a chance at more than 22 cents. Interestingly, it doesn't mention if they lose money so they must not think that's likely.
Would be nice if it was 40-50 cents, I just don't know how likely that is.
Regarding unwired, I was at first under the impression they were combining the two but it appears that GEC is going to remain stand alone.
The current 2.79 seems reasonable to me given that I guess NAV was 3.61, we are getting 22 cents, so it puts us at about an 17.75 perecent discount.
I'm presuming the 9 percent dividend gets cut after 6-9 months and they blame it on FULLs #$%$ portfolio. The 15 million buyback should keep the discount from falling much more than 20 percent. My guess is the dividend gets cut to 7-8 percent. I'm spelling it out because too many symbols gets posts deleted I think.
Is GEC worth looking into ? I thought I read they have a lot of cash but almost no book value. How is that ?

Unwired Planet brings about 30M cash and over1 Billion on NOLs, Net Operating Losses, to the table. The NOL carry forwards can be used to generate non-taxable operating income/returns for the company. Mast Capital runs the show. That's all I can tell...More
I misspell occasionally. But "loser" has to be a 5th or 6th grade word. I'm sure the stuff I misspell is at a 10th-12th grade level or higher.
Besides, Isn't there a spellcheck ?
