  • Wow - yes Dan is a true asset and delivering wonderful investor results to you all. Not bashing - enjoy your investment over the rest of 2013 as well. Likely Q3 and Q4 will add to the results for the year and land around $3.5 billions of loses for the full year.

  • I think dish disclosed they had something like 100 million shares of clwr? So dish pockets perhaps 200 million of sans monies and made sprint spend another 1.2 billion to raise from 3 to 5 for the 600 million shares they didn't own? 200 million profit for dish in 2 months! He also made SB raise sprint offer by another 2 billion. He ate Dan for lunch. Now dish goes for tmusa and rips Dan a new one.

  • Perhaps he will continue to curse CLWR and continue to raise his offers by the billions........LOL

Wait I thought big Dan said a CLWR bankruptcy would be interesting and maybe a good thing? Yep, that is why he now now bid more than 6 times the CLWR 52 week low?

For SB to buy S Dan MUST secure CLWR as SB don't want to offer a slow 3g network to gain a competitive business advantage they want the fat CLWR pipes to offer 20x20 LTE that is like 4 times the solution that T or VZ are able to offer - that is what Son wants and requires.

Dish is having fun with S, and will likely raise to 6 a share to make Dan go to 6.50 or even 7 for CLWR - then Dish can merge with T mobile knowing they put the hurtin' on Danny and Son who they will be head to head with?

  • Mercy, now he is raising his offer for the 2nd time - would appear it is a "do or die" for Sprint as SB ain't gonna want S without Clwr spectrum - period. Sprint has the slowest 3g network per pc mag, and nowhere near the spectrum to offer a decent nationwide lte solution. Without clwr sprint is pretty much without a future. Dan's big mouth saying clwr bankruptcy would be constructive and theat

S will have pointed out to the courts how their offer of $3.30 is better for all minority shareholders and one which places a high price on the spectrum assets of clwr as they have done many times in their pr's. The court will likely then tell S that an offer of 30% or so more than that is so great that S needs to either A) raise their offer to match or B) accept this way over the top high value offer from DISH themselves.....

Dan is about the dumbest CEO any company could have

I have never owned, nor will I ever own a single share of Sprint. I have never shorted nor will I ever short a single share of Sprint. In other words my monies ain't going to be tied to Sprint period.

  • Wow - Dan's business plan and operational excellence has lost about $4 billion over the past 12 months. Talk about "network vision"

Loss is greater than $10 million per day!

Rock on with this wonderful investment.

  • stargator55 by stargator55 Jun 18, 2013 9:39 AM Flag

Sprint will explain to the court how it's $3.40 is far superior to CLWR shareholders than Dish's $4.40 and that the CLWR board isn't acting properly when they chose to endorse the $1 per share higher offer. Yep, the court should see the merit of the lawsuit, rather clearly

Did you read my post? I am not a Dish shareholder and have no love for Charlie but he does something each and everyday that Dan has never once done. Charlie actually makes money for his shareholders in the form of a net profit...........Sprint has not made 1 dollar of net profit since Dan became CEO - think about that. Not 1 dollar. Sprint has lost 70 billion of shareholder equity since the Nextel debacle though. 3 billion shares outstanding that used to trade at like 30 a share when Dan took the helm - 23 dollar loss per share x 3 billions = 69 billion of lost shareholder value, while at the same time increasing your debt to about 25 billion today with another 15 billion owed to apple.

Perhaps dish will offer some special wholesale pricing to Dan. Sprint will lose about 5 billions more than the expected 4 billion loss in 2013. Dan is a wizard first with nextel then the failed rape of clwr. Maybe ntelos will acquire parts of sprint during 2014 bankruptcy. Love it. I sold clwr at $4.21 and bought a new car with cash and still had almost triple my investment amount all in cash. I just shorted your CEO as I knew he would fumble the greatest asset his shareholders had which was all that spectrum potential of clwr. Now he still only has the slowest 3g network and no option to deploy a decent lte solution.

Buying new car with cash and still have nearly triple my monies. Likely left a dollar or more topside on the table but when you line up all 7's on the top pay line you cash in chips. Good luck to all.

  • Just too much profit, took it and ran.

Have fun building your LTE without any spectrum. Continue offering the slowest 3g network in the USA to your 20 billions worth of Iphone 5 customers - yet value of your company should be just wonderful. The value of CLWR spectrum is greater than the money losing Sprint enterprise - looking forward to your q2 earnings announcement of another 1 billion plus of losses?

Why is it not trading at 4.40?

CLWR board ain't gonna be able to go bankrupt in court when an offer for their company is on the table for 30% more than what it is trading at - courts don't accept any and all bankruptcy filings. Court would say get back to your phone and accept the offer. Sprint is in a terrible spot as they now cannot buy CLWR period unless they bid openly against dish and this thing could go well North of 6-7 a share as without CLWR Sprint cannot offer LTE of any scale. Sprint without LTE is worth less than Ntelos.

  • Things are not what you thought are they? Again. Now you can explain to your shareholders why you will not accept the offer for your shares of $4.40 each and then fund your apple purchasing for getting the Iphone 5 folks running on the nations slowest 3g network at Sprint.............The constant abuse you have pointed at CLWR and it's shareholders is now over as nobody is going to accept your offer of $3.40 a share when Dish has put an offer of $4.40 on the table. You have NO spectrum to build your LTE networks now and your wholesale agreements to use CLWR spectrum are soon up - we look forward to providing you with new and somewhat different rates based on your position to force bankruptcy on us - perhaps 5 times what you have paid in the past per GB?

  • Let's let Dan have what he told the reporters a year ago would be constructive. I am thinking many folks would have fat checkbooks out if sprint was not a controlling shareholder.

Clwr skips debt payment and sprint either raises offer above 5 or loses $2.5 billion as their shares become worthless and they get to bid against companies that have cash and who actually have business models that. Do not have them losing billions each year?
