Given gold 's post-Brexit gains and TGD's apparent breakout in-the-making---I thought this post outlined the potential TGD has for some seriously dramatic gains. GLTA !

    Great points, itsa, thanks.
    In addition,
1.) The Caballo Blanco Gold Project sale to Candeleria (sp?) is set to close July 7.
2.) Production report usually comes out the 12th, a month prior to quarterly report.
3.) Sale proceeds should be reflected in this quarter's financials, on or about August 12.

Yes, itsa, I read the pr like you did. And you bring up many other thoughtful points that are definitely worth considering, thanks for posting those. Especially the increase in chatter on other message boards. I'm going to look more closely at VGZ now because I keep seeing it mentioned in reference to TGD.
Another thing is the short ratio. Right now TGD has a relatively low one. IF someone's been shorting it has only moved the share price a few cents per day over the last month or so. If interest in TGD is sustained over the next five weeks approaching ER, we could see an increase in the short ratio, and price volatility. Could present opportunities for swing trading on the way UP !
And you are right that Friday's crazy volume is going to attract alot of attention.
I'll be watching commodities closely when markets open in Asia! GLTA!!!

I was seeing resistance at .35-ish before this pop. I think you're right that if there is a retrace, it will be in the range you mention. Could test .35-ish beyond that. GLTA.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • At one point +24%!!!

You were spot on calling that retrace. Cheers!

I thought this exchange was encouraging. GLTA.

Email Yesterday From Info @ Timminsgold:

The Company actually is doing great and will allow our shareholders to see for themselves next week when we publish our Q2 operating results.

We have paid off our secured debt and payables are way down. Our balance sheet is getting stronger each day and we will end the year off doing significantly better than previously anticipated should the gold price remain in this range.
    Thank you,

RE:RE:Email Yesterday From Info @ Timminsgold

Agree, the Q2 should be significantly better than Q1 for a number of reasons. The finances will be much cleaner and the price for product sold will be higher. The big cloud is still the future for SF. Progress on AP will be consistent, cant do much to imporve the time line for production, but SF holds the key to financial future, dilution and so on. We keep moving higher at a resonable pace so that is good.

RE:Email Yesterday From Info @ Timminsgold

Thanks for this. I was a little disappointed in the average gold selling price last quarter as it seemed they jumped the gun on some futures and that had a negative impact on their average selling price in the Q. This email makes me think two things:
They were more patient with their gold sales and hence realized a price around the average for the Q. I would be happy with $1250 as an average, and would be extactic if it was above that.
They produced in the same range as last Q. I had anticipated about a 5k drop. Perhaps they are in the same range.
If the above two things are true, TMM will have a great quarter. This becomes especially visible considering there will be no write downs in the Q like previous Q's, and renegotiating expenses will not be present in this Q.
All things look positive and establishing a new base in the .50's is great to see.

Except for last Friday, the day-to-day action is sluggish. But the pps has nearly doubled in about six weeks. And has increased slowly but steadily in that time. And as itsa has noted, there are several catalysts due like the closing of the Caballo sale (supposed to be today! ) and next week's production report. GLTA!

  • stevenmichael222 stevenmichael222 Jul 13, 2016 12:39 PM Flag

Good day, itsa! I agree with all the points you made. A good itinerary for the way the next few weeks should play out and beyond. I ran my own comparison for Q2 earnings and hit roughly +.02 also. (But I do wonder how the Caballo payment, if received, will be accounted for...maybe generally balancing out with the payout to Sprott and Goldcorp?) Anyway, enjoy the green ! GLTA.

If AUMN can hit 1.00 and VGZ 2.00, TGD has got the goods for much more! GLTA.

  • Highlights of production report:
1.) The Company achieved production of 25,863 gold ounces for the quarter.
    (Silver produced 14,884 oz.)
    2.) Realized Gold Price $1,232 (Q2) v. $1,161 (Q1)
3.) Gold ounces produced this quarter increased by 13% over the same period last year. Production for the quarter exceeded expectation due to the pit yielding more tonnes at a higher grade with a lower strip ratio than plan.
4.) The Company is evaluating various mine plans for the continuation of operations beyond 2016," stated Mark Backens, Interim CEO. "Given the current gold price the prospects to extend mine life at acceptable operating margins at San Francisco are good."
5.) During the quarter the Company successfully repaid its secured debt to creditors Sprott Resource Lending Partnership and Goldcorp Inc. for $10.2 million and to the Lundin Group for C$2.0 million and thereby removing all security on our assets.

So, itsa, you got half your list in one day ! GLTA.

  • stevenmichael222 stevenmichael222 Jul 14, 2016 8:56 PM Flag

Itsa, I've been watching for similarities also. And at close on 4/12, the pps was .30. 5 trading days later, on 4/19, the intraday high hit .41. That's 36%! Gold is under pressure now. But in April it took a few sessions before it spiked. We'll see.

On another note, you mentioned revs in another post. On Yahoo, the analyst estimate for revs this quarter was 29 million. So we're looking at a nice beat on revs!

And you mentioned the activity on twits a few weeks ago... When you posted that there were only 700-ish watchers. That number increased to 1700 in a week! It's at 1800 and climbing.

TGD has been a great find. When I started watching GSS, it was in the .20s. Less than a year later, it hit 1.00 (AH today) and is only continuing its steady climb. I see the same here. GLTA.

    Hope so !

Yeah, I appreciate you mentioning that other board. I read it now, too. And some of the regulars, like DEH1 and others, bring up great info. DEH1 posts institutional trades. I'd like to see all the big holders. It seems when BlackRock and Vanguard show up, things get interesting. Could be coincidence... If you come across info on this, I'd appreciate you sharing.

Oh, and last Q they seemed to be getting a great handle on costs. If that carries over to this Q, with the higher spot gold price, profit margin could be greatly increased, as you mention.

Lastly, I see there's still negative pressure on gold price in Asian trading. But I keep thinking of GSS. A few quarters back it was trading around .30s. Decent report and it hit .50s. Last quarter, good report and hit .84. Now pushing $1. TGD just broke out of the low .30s and is closing in on .50. I know it's an oversimplification, but think it's worth considering, imo.

Oh, and have you noticed how the low -price stocks have gradually dried up ? The economics is over my head, but it seems the market is desperate for places to put its money, driving up stock prices up with it. Just a thought. GLTA!

    TD Waterhouse & National Bank...
    Some updated research since Wednesday:
TD Raised their price target to .80 (US ~.60) and issued an updated outlook and narritive yesterday.
National Bank updated their EPS expectationt to .04 (US ~.03) for this Q.

Revenue will be ~$32M this Q. Largest Q revenue since 2014. Analysts are currently evaluating whether a re-rating of TMM is warranted. I suggest it is and that is what we are seeing.

Something is surely in the works with Ana Paula and we'll have a better view within the next month. Looking forward to the Financial report and anything else that comes out prior to that....

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Asian markets appear steady. POG holding for now about where they were Friday before the Turkish "coup" announced. Maybe see brief retrace to .49-.52 range? before momentum kicks back in. Next stop .63-.70!
JMHO, but I think we'll see $1 sooner than we expected, and break that 200 MA as awareness/ volume becomes sustained!

BTW, twits is pushing at 2100 watchers. 3x as many as two weeks ago. And those are the people who registered, not casual viewers. And thanks again for the heads-up on that Canadian MB. They have good discussions. Especially about Ana Paula. There should be a PR about that before long. Regards, itsa! A great green week to you.
