Yeah, that's business 101, so where is Sony? Has me thinking it is a production problem somewhere. Maybe us, maybe STM, maybe lasers, maybe power consumption, I don't know, but Tokman does and he has stated we are going to have a 40% to 70% increase tops. He is telling it like it is, so I have to believe we are stuck for another year. More small ball products coming to market is OK, not great. tokman isn't going to rat out who is the hold up, so I just guess with Computerknows. Perhaps we will figure it out in time, but believe me there is hangnail somewhere.
You know, the volume isn't there as far as I can tell, so I wouldn't care if they all carried Quaper and Lenovo products. As far as the stand alones go, we are not going to make break even with them and should of had all of them at ASM. I don't even have sales numbers for any of those products to see who has the momentum, but the numbers I saw for us are not great. That is why we are stuck under $2 and losing momentum. Are they advertising big in Asia our products? I have the royalty at $1.25 and think 10% of the smartphone business would give us a pps of $40. I think I am close there but I will never know for sure, it is going to take years to figure it out. Something is holding us back and I can't shake that, but there too many things it could be. I just wish we had a clearer picture. Who is behind Qualper? Why no View Smart when they were ready to go 6 months ago and now they won't answer the phone? Need to see great Qualper sales to get a real handle on this. Tokman has laid out the plan for this year and it wasn't received very well. At the rate he is staying with and dilution now in hand any time they need it, I am wondering if next year will be the same?
Another problem for me. We can't advertise and pump our tech. Seems to me that Sony is taking all the credit and we are subjective to them in total. Bugs me that PicoP isn't stamped on everything coming out of Sony. I thought Tokman said that was his goal. Well, goals for him have changed a lot over the years. Hoping pico bit has the impact you guys are hoping for, but without advertising it is a long, long road to where we need to be.
I have been hearing that for almost ten years now and the man never delivers. I sincerely hope you are right on your call because I am heavy into this and it has been my biggest disappointment, in both the product development and the management. I have watched GLW go from $1.42 to $28 and made a lot of money with friends on that. I watched BA change the world of aviation faster than this guy can bring a laser projector to market and bought that at $32 and you see where it is today. I sold a lot of that for this tech and I have nothing to show for it but quotes from AT that are all wrong. I am watching the whales use DLP when Tokman touted for years that they couldn't make DLP smaller or brighter due to heat issues and that LBS would rule the day. So far he is batting zero and this comedy continues. I do believe the tech is much superior to anything out there and that is why I am still here, but Tokman is an anvil around the neck of MVIS. Management has become complacent. They are depending on Sony.
In my lifetime I have seen Sony go from the name you had to have to the company that relied on their name and faltered in many areas. They had the Beta market and lost it to VHS. They had the TV market and lost it to the Samsungs etc. They had the music market witht he Walkman and lost to itunes. I am happy we have Sony, but I would like to have seen interest by Apple, Samsung, or several others I could name. Management here is not focused where they need to be.
Ok, I'll give you that, but self promotion is the easiest way I know of to make folks aware. I also don't think we have the bandwidth here we need to adequately support us.
Getting back to one of your points 009, why isn't MVIS management carrying Qualper in their pockets to show at every occasion just what we have and ditto for Sony. Lord knows we should be able to make at least a dozen or so embedded phones for management and the board. Advertising 101, use it and let people ask the questions, what is that you have there and where can I get one. They don't seem to know how to create interest. They seem like dolts. You have to make things happen sometimes. Tokman looks to me as if he has just given the ball to Sony and he's done. I hope he gets used to no salary because he may not get one for a long time if things keep going this way.
Makes you wonder, doesn't it. Trimbath noted nobody in management had a Qualper on their person at ASM. Why isn't all of Sony sales people and Sony showing a picop embedded phone in their pockets at every opportunity? Something isn't right.
There's nobody here to attack you, it is all blind longs giving shares away to management for nothing. Nobody home here any more. Board is a wasteland.
It puzzles me 009. They have had our kits to fool around with for a long time now and yet they still put big money into that same old lame tech. With sales dropping and competition heating up among the whales, I got to wonder why they won't commit to LBS? Is it cost, or power, or safety, or production,or lasers, or size, or.......... That is my problem. We have fallen from the $3 mark to !.75 and look to continue down until something happens. Here we are just one week after ASM and we have a CC comming up and we won't know anything about our customers or what the issues are facing us as far as hooking a whale are. He used to use the magic bean words with the ease that he now uses NDA's. He will never change and he is holding this tech back. Hope you two are correct and the new engine has them salivating.
I don't care how much they charge, what I care about is that we are not in it. There is a reason why and that is what puzzles me. We are brighter and better on all fronts according to MVIS management and the longs here, but they chose another product. They all have had the chance to work with our kits and know the differences, so why are they going the other way. Is it safety issues or production issues,or even financial issues? Tokman doesn't tell us anything to help us investors, it's just trust me. Everyone says it's great that they are bringing display to market and soon will know the difference. My thinking is that they already see the differences and chose the other product.....why? Only things out there are small ball companies that are willing to take the chance on LBS and they won't make much of a difference to our pps.
What has Sony and Tokman done to compete? Where's the beef? Where can I buy a Qualper? Show me some PO's. What are the goals, and who are we working with? I've heard all the magic bean words skillfully used by Tokman for years, Intel, MSFT, Appl, and no bean stalks to date. Nothing but little sprouts that are growing at a snails pace. Not enough to put food on the table for anyone but management and it hasn't changed in ten years. Why are they still there? Why do they get bonuses? How can they continue to fool investors? They seem to be selling NDA's and no high volume products. Does this ever end? Do we need one shareholder friendly member on the board? Perhaps Tom Trimbath would consider it.
So what do you see as the problem (hesitation) for the DPL out pacing LBS? I still say it is production. How many units can we produce per month currently and how big a customer can we accommodate? I think it is all numbers and we can't do anything but play small ball for quite some time. Makes the road to break even a lot longer if that is the case. I know AT said by a factor of 10X, but what are we doing right now and are they keeping the lines running or shutting down a few times a year and restarting? A ton of questions that would put a much better light on what is going on and where we are. LBS seems like a slam dunk next to DPL, so what is the issue? We only know what they want us to know.
You guys and your buying opportunities make me sick. Pay attention there 20 buying opportunities a month and it has been that way for years.
