Agree. Every time in the past, and I mean years in the past, Yahoo was making an "improvement" to this site it was always worse than before. And so it goes........
Yahoo changed their website. The only way I can post is from a tablet. My desktop and phone do not give me access to the message boards. I get the feeling yahoo is going away.
They may not currently have the support pf WS but they had it in a big way. When you are as high flying as AMBA was and you burn WS then you pay and pay dearly and the pain can continue indefinitely. I agree with others here that until AMBA can become less reliant on GPRO we will stay down in the high $30's/low $40's while we all feast on wish sandwiches.
Then we are royally screwed. Here is what is expected: Analysts are estimating earnings of 27 cents per share on revenue of $53.18 million for the latest quarter, compared with earnings of 71 cents per share on revenue of $71.01 million for the fiscal 2016 first quarter.
If AMBA does not blow that out or misses then I think it is over for a while. If they do beat and then project great things going forward then they may be forgiven and the stock may start to rebuild. This is not the opinion of a professional but from someone who has held AMBA for quite a while.
It does not show (as you wrote) on Yahoo. On the historical price link it shows that last year they paid it out on July 1. That is an approximate for this year but probably close.
At one time Disney owned just 29% of Disney Paris. Does anyone know if that has changed and also what is the ownership % of Shanghai?
I feel your pain. All you can do is what you said. Buy and hold. I think this one will take a while though. As has been mentioned Gopro is killing AMBA. They fart and we get the #$%$ underwear.
Qualcomm's second-quarter report indicated that the worst is likely behind it. Still, all it took to #$%$ investors was a veiled hint that it might lose some iPhone component business.
If you want to read a topical article to either dismiss or perpetuate your question (it has been floating on this board for many months) read the recent Motley Fool article. Their opinion is more that QCOM will compete with AMBA instead of buy them out.
What happened today is life with AMBA. It is best to ignore all the noise on this board. If you like AMBA you are going to have to have a lot of patience. It may go up but it is going to take a while for it to happen. My guess is 2-3 quarters with strong beats and great projections. People need a reason to get excited about AMBA again while they still suffer from the GPRO overhang. I own some and want them to go up as my cost basis is well above where it is now. I wish you luck but unfortunately this is dead money for now.
