First I don't believe PVHO is a scam but that is not what this is about, that's for another post !
"Jaysong" is right on one thing. There are no "shorts" for PVHO, proof can be found listed on the Nasdaq s I t e .
PVHO will take off once Institutional investors start buying. There or no Institutional investments, check out NASDAQ s I t e . You need the "big boys" to soar !
PVHO always uses paid for" Accesswire" or "Globenewswire" to spin there news in a positive light. There is nothing wrong with that just that you should know it's not Barrons, IBD, The street, Edar, Marketwatch,PR Newswire, ect. I now pay attention to the source of news on my other stocks because that makes a difference.
As far as PVHO I always pay attention to the SEC Filings because you have to state the facts and goals but you dare not state anything you know is not true.
Last Revenue is the "KEY" right now. We don't need to see profits right now but with the revenue everything else will follow. Good Luck!

A sad day for this nation. Comey sold out his entire career, he sold out the FBI, and sold out his country.

Well I think most of us new the fix was in but we hoped that justice might win.
Now it will be LEFT UP TO THE VOTERS to right the wrong.

100 shares at the closing price 3.64 and 100 shares @ 3 bucks.

The earnings were very good, and DEBT was paid down, we "should" have an up day, if not today, in the next few days after they are done playing with the PPS. Good Luck Longs !

Every day for the last 4 days the Volume has been cut in half each day. The almost normal Volume today tells you the Selling is over and everybody that wanted out are out !
As for the end of brick and mortar stores , first there will ALWAYS be brick and mortar stores and second NOTHING IS STOPPING OFFICE DEPOT from selling "Internet Sales" from a national center. They have all the Tools needed to change the way they do Business and after the close, during the C.C., we will know their plans going forward.
I think anybody that BUYS TODAY will see GREEN Tomorrow for sure.
There are a lot of analysts that have a hold on ODP like "The Street" and many others.
The ODDS of ODP going down are far less than going up !

Office Depot is well positioned to reap the benefits from the sales-driving initiatives undertaken by it and OfficeMax following the revival of the economy. These include cost management, closing underperforming stores, reducing exposure to higher dollar-value inventory items, shuttering non-critical distribution facilities, concentrating on e-Commerce platforms as well as focusing on providing innovative products and services. The company closed 181 retail stores in the U.S. in 2015 and plans to close over 50 outlets in 2016.

Further, the companies have been improving in-store shopping experience, increasing investment in Copy & Print Depot and Tech Depot services, remodeling stores and introducing smaller format stores. All these are likely to drive revenue growth. Moreover, Office Depot is streamlining its European operations to focus more on business rather than on geographies.

  • This should take it up over $3.60

I have seen this before. The hedge funds thur market makers drive the share price lower to pick up cheap shares before the C.C. after the close. Tomorrow they will do all they can to drive the PPS up with rumors and maybe an upgrade.
I think Tomorrow will be a "planned" up day for sure and I will be playing it that way.

The gop and the racist #$%$ they represent need to leave our great country asap.

Just one question for you. Which Armed Service were you in when you wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America for the amount up to and including your life ? I wrote that check when I turned 17 and gave the Air Force 10 PRIME years. Any religion that wants to kill others that don't believe as they do is NOT A Religion and we don't need them here.
In the USAF I worked on ECM and ECCM, (Electronic Counter Measures and Electronic Counter Counter Measures), all Secret Equipment and if any of those T.O's ,Technical Orders, ( service manuals), got out from my secured area I would be in JAIL or worst. All my High School and Tech School teachers had to sign off on me for the OSI. Hillary belongs in JAIL YESTERDAY !

One pull on the trigger equals One Shot. 30 shots take 15 seconds
The M-16 is an Assault rifle that can rip off 30 rounds in less than 2 seconds, THAT is an ASSAULT RIFLE and you can't buy one since May 19, 1986. You use to be able to buy them with a class 3 license which required photographs, letters from police, finger prints and LOTS of money.
Their have been changes in the M-16 using 3 modes, Automatic fire 30 rounds in less than 2 sec., Single shot, and 3 round burst which gives you 10 trigger pulls for 30 rounds.
The M-16 was the basic Rifle we used in the USAF but firearms wasn't our bag and we only had to go to the range once a year. I was always at remote Aircraft Warning and Control Radar Sites and the rules were lax. We were told to keep our private guns at the Gate and check them out but most guys kept them in the barracks and nobody had a problem with that in Montana where every pickup truck had a gun rack in the rear window. Try that out EAST.

Right to bear arms does not specify a handgun

When this amendment was adopted two hundred years ago it pertained to single shot, musket toting militas

So the idea is same today. You have a "RIGHT" to bear todays ARMS !
When you were buying your car they told you how much "HORSE POWER" the car had TODAY. Not many people have 300 horses in their garage but the idea is the same as it was 200 years ago.

I've been in this business for over a decade and this one is dipping under $3.

I see you are new to investing. I started when I was 17 in the Air Force, (ours), and I will be 70 in July. Anything is possible but the connected dots say we are done with the down trend. That's my "gut feeling". I got TUMS if I'am wrong !

    That money is long gone.
Which is still a good thing, less debt we have to pay for.

Looks like everybody that wanted out is out an people are buying now. Seems the bottom was set on not that great of a volume and the PPS is slowly headed up into he CC.
I thin we will be just fine later this week. The big surprise is OIL being down after Canada loss 33% of their Oil production. That makes no sense !

  • superbowl6wins by superbowl6wins May 13, 2016 10:27 AM Flag

Looks like we are forming a base as the PPS settles down.. I bet we will be looking at 4 to 5 bucks next week. Good Luck Longs !

  • superbowl6wins superbowl6wins May 6, 2016 11:39 AM Flag

First may I suggest you never use PE, use PEG which gives you the PE with the growth factored in. A HIGH PE with a very HIGH growth rate is better value than a low PE with no growth like RAD which has a PEG of negative (-.70) which is bad. You need a PEG from 0 to 1 for the best valued stocks.
Second if the merge goes thur you would have waited a year to make one dollar. That's dead money you could have used on a stock making 10x that one dollar.
You risk LOSING more than double that one dollar if the merge doesn't happen and the PPS drops.
Think about it. Most of the good posters have sold out and moved on and the increased "SHORTS" are ready to make a killing.
    Good Luck, It's your money..

    That's up to you.
The company has a 5 buck Negative Book Value
The Liabilities are GREATER than the Assets.
The Est. Earnings have been lowered
Zacks has a general Hold on the stock with poor Value, growth, and mo.

The number of "shorts" has been reduced and that's a good thing
There has been 1 upgrade in earnings and that's good.
Bottom line its your call. One thing I can tell you is to NEVER make a move during HIGH VOL. The volume is going to be 4X normal today. Wait until everybody that wants out is out and we form a base. Don't catch a falling knife.

ODP needs to buy back its cheap stock

    by manh999 May 12, 2016 10:58 AM
    superbowl6wins superbowl6wins May 12, 2016 12:42 PM Flag

Companies heading towards BK do not buy back their own shares

Where do you get BK ? ODP has almost a BILLION in CASH. The ASSETS are 6.4 M vs 4.8M in LIABILITIES
The Book Value is$3.02 per share.
No BK Court would ever ALLOW ODP to file for PROTECTION under the BK Laws with all their cash and assets greater than liabities.
This is a good company with ZACKS rating them "A" for value "D" for growth, "A" for momentum and "A" for Total score. They do rank them as a 4 sell due to estimated earnings but that can be turned around with new planning and focus. The TOOLS are there !

  • superbowl6wins by superbowl6wins May 14, 2016 5:50 PM Flag

Elementary math tells us that if ODP traded at the average P/S for the Specialty Retail Industry, the share price would be $71.25. Such a price is unrealistic; it is more likely that ODP should trade at Staples' P/S ratio, which would yield a price somewhere around $11.25.

    ( Comments from Seeking Alpha),

" The balance sheet is fairly strong, so paying interest on debt and other liabilities should not be a problem in the future. NWC is a reference to liquidation value (should Office Depot go under, the common stock holders get absolutely nothing). Office Depot is far from becoming insolvent. Future M&A scenarios are more likely than bankruptcy. Finally, Enterprise Value is a sale price for ODP should another company want to acquire them. It helps that Staples just got finished valuing ODP at over $6 billion. Again, these are necessary but not sufficient statistics."

Here is where rational thought comes into play. If we were in a class on M&A valuation, then we were just given the answer to the test. We were told by a direct competitor, Staples, that ODP was worth $7.25 in cash plus .2188 shares of SPLS. Now that the deal has broken, is there any reason to believe the company is no longer worth $7.25 in cash? Is it really worth $3.75?

I think $3.75 is the emotional, HERD SELLING PRICE !
    Those people are GONE !
If you need to BUY, now may be the time.

    It's going the wrong way

As the "approval date " approaches, the price of RAD should be approaching the buyout price. However, the opposite is occurring. This tells me that the "market" knows that the merger is not going to be approved by the FTC. If the FTC approves the acquisition, there will be conditions imposed that WAG cannot and will not accept.

    REPLY ;

I think you nailed it ! The volume for RAD got very heavy @ 1340hrs and ended the day up over 10M shares higher than normal. While RAD went down in a big move for them, WBA was in the green.
As far as conditions Walgreen must meet, they already drew a line at 1K stores they would sell and rumor is that the FTC wants to see 3 times that .
The key will be what the next few days will bring but that high vol. today means something, it just didn't happen.
