Dec 7, 2015 1:45 PM - "stick with tox and you will make $$$$"

    Jan 3, 2016 6:01 PM - "Going higher moving into the March investors conference, $3.50 - $3.75" - BLRX
Jan 8, 2016 9:43 PM - "Buy now and hold to the first week of March" - BLRX
Feb 4, 2016 1:11 PM - "I have made some rather large purchases at $1.25 & $1.21 thinking we were going to rocket up once they start hyping the stock" - BLRX
Feb 11, 2016 3:19 PM - "I didn't see BLRX going any lower than the $1.20 -$1.25 range and as such I loaded up."

I'm sorry, what was that about "stick with tox and you will make $$$$"?

Correct for once, tox. Shall I point out again how often you've been wrong?

Jul 14, 2015 10:16 AM - "If Zack's is downgrading, you should be buying!" - BLRX
Mar 29, 2016 8:43 AM - "Its only a matter of time before a major pharmaceutical firm offers to partner with development of BL8040, I would bet after the June ASCO conference." - BLRX
Jul 27, 2015 4:03 PM - "If I said the share price was going to rise to $2.00 in the next year, then I would be wrong." - ATHX

My favorite tox prediction has to be "If I said the share price was going to rise to $2.00 in the next year, then I would be wrong." And you said it almost exactly a year ago to the day, LOL.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

From the same "expert" who brought you:

Jul 14, 2015 10:16 AM - "If Zack's is downgrading, you should be buying!" - BLRX
Mar 29, 2016 8:43 AM - "Its only a matter of time before a major pharmaceutical firm offers to partner with development of BL8040, I would bet after the June ASCO conference." - BLRX
Feb 17, 2015 1:55 PM - "We touch back to $3.47 and we rocket to $3.55" - BLRX
Jul 27, 2015 4:03 PM - "If I said the share price was going to rise to $2.00 in the next year, then I would be wrong." - ATHX
Jul 27, 2015 3:07 PM - "Eight pennies and counting before ATHX will be trading in the pink sheets." - ATHX

Many more examples. toxlcdumper1 really needs to reexamine his own long investments before bashing others:

"On July 20, 2016, BioLineRx Ltd. (the “Company”) (BLRX) received written notice (the “Notification Letter”) from The Nasdaq Stock Market (“Nasdaq”) stating that the Company is not in compliance with the minimum bid price requirement set forth in Nasdaq’s rules for continued listing on The Nasdaq Capital Market. Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(a)(2) requires listed securities to maintain a minimum bid price of $1.00 per share, and Listing Rule 5810(c)(3)(A) provides that a failure to meet the minimum bid price requirement exists if the deficiency continues for a period of 30 consecutive business days. Based on the closing bid price of the Company’s American Depositary Shares (“ADSs”), each representing one ordinary share, for the 30 consecutive business days from June 3, 2016, the Company no longer meets the minimum bid price requirement."

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

It won't for long. Read the email Yahoo sent you in your inbox on either Yahoo site. "We’re excited to share these changes with you beginning on desktop, and rolling out to mobile in the coming weeks. Soon enough, you'll be able to harness the power of Yahoo Finance wherever you are, whenever you want."

rodney, no matter how you slice it, there are advantages and disadvantages to either investment type. Options lose value over time even when the underlying security doesn't. That's the "time premium". Options can also expire worthless despite the underlying security holding its value. And options will always be short term investments. There are at least some of us who prefer "buy and hold" and long term tax advantages to quick profits (or losses).

Finally, for small investors, day trading, in all of its forms, is an almost guaranteed long term loss.

  • survtech10 survtech10 Jul 16, 2016 11:07 AM Flag

Not if you intend to hold for long term gains. Options expire in under a year. Big difference in tax obligations.

  • survtech10 survtech10 Jul 15, 2016 11:17 AM Flag

I believe shorting will peak out around that time, in anticipation of negative earnings. That's the best time for a short squeeze.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • survtech10 survtech10 Jul 15, 2016 10:09 AM Flag

neil, agreed on the short interest. I also believe that the shorts expect a PPS drop when financials are reported next month. Likely, earnings will be back in the red due to no partnership income and the people who only follow the numbers will probably sell.

Still, any decent news will catch the shorts flat-footed, which will amplify any gains from the news. Early-to-mid August could be a perfect time for positive news.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

This thread has nothing to do with Yahoo's writers. Try reading the message first, instead of just responding to the thread title. At least for some users of ie11, YMB was either totally offline or at least didn't display properly yesterday AM. Hence my recommendation to clear browser cache.

pipe: what letter? I know First Eagle did receive a letter from the SEC in 2015 regarding improperly using mutual fund assets to pay for the marketing and distribution of fund shares but that has nothing to do with Athersys. And I can find no current link between First Eagle and Athersys. Is this another of your claims that has no current validity?

  • survtech10 survtech10 Jul 8, 2016 5:41 PM Flag

    Who are you quoting?

  • survtech10 survtech10 Jul 8, 2016 4:43 PM Flag

Yellowish tint to my journalism? I fail to see any substantive differences between "the AMI trial had 9 updates in under 2 years" and ..."said trial, had 9 reported changes between January 20, 2015 and May 6, 2016". The point is still that the AMI trial had more changes in far less time than the IS trial, thus substantially refuting your statement "they religiously updated their clinical trials in the past and that no longer appears to be the case."

  • survtech10 survtech10 Jul 8, 2016 3:55 PM Flag

Oh, and your statement: "we haven't completed a phase 2 in twenty one years" totally ignores that same IS trial. Long-term loss of memory?

  • survtech10 survtech10 Jul 8, 2016 3:49 PM Flag

    Really? Let's look at them:
Current AMI Trial History of Changes :
2014_10_28 Study Nothing (earliest version on record)
2015_01_20 Study Changes Protocol, Recruitment, Administrative, Misc.
2015_05_12 Study Changes Recruitment, Location/Contact, Misc.
2015_07_01 Study Changes Recruitment status, Recruitment, Location/Contact, Misc.
2015_08_18 Study Changes Recruitment, Location/Contact, Misc.
2015_10_09 Study Changes Recruitment, Location/Contact, Misc.
    2015_12_18 Study Changes Location/Contact, Misc.
2016_01_19 Study Changes Recruitment, Location/Contact, Misc.
    2016_02_04 Study Changes Location/Contact, Misc.
    2016_05_16 Study Changes Location/Contact, Misc.

    IS Trial History of Changes:
2011_09_16 Study Nothing (earliest version on record)
2011_10_24 Study Changes Protocol, Recruitment status, Recruitment, Location/Contact, Administrative, Misc.
2013_08_23 Study Changes Recruitment, Location/Contact, Misc.
2014_02_28 Study Changes Recruitment, Location/Contact, Misc.
    2014_03_31 Study Changes Recruitment, Misc.
2014_07_23 Study Changes Recruitment, Location/Contact, Misc.
2014_11_12 Study Changes Protocol, Location/Contact, Misc.
2015_06_01 Study Changes Recruitment status, Recruitment, Misc.
2016_02_12 Study Changes Recruitment status, Recruitment, Misc.

So the AMI trial had 9 updates in under 2 years while the IS trial had 8 updates in 5 years.
