    Can't believe the stupidity

Wow what a chore to get back here. My desk top only gets the Yahoo new version and I don't like it at all. None of you guys are there that I know of because it only gives first names instead of log on names. It's starting to fill up with spam and it's all there for the reading. At least here on the message board you only have to see the title of the thread and yahoo marked it spam. What a fiasco they've created. Go to comments at the bottom of the page on the new format no one likes the new format. Typical ZYNGA hasn't advertised the Ice Age game or CSR2 but CSR2 is holding up well. The match game Ice Age Saga has fallen into obscurity like E&A did. GRD isn't doing too badly either.

I just realized that I can post on the old message board and get the old stock quotes and format on my IPad but not on my desk top. Any suggestions? I really don't like the new stock quotes, format or conversations. There seems to be even more spam now.

dongin73, I have to agree with most of what you stated. They have way too many employees. The only things that most of the current engineers created were Looney Tunes, NFLSD and E&A, all under the watch of Mattrick. All of the games were big failures. Mattrick also wanted to throw a ton of money at Tiger Woods for a golf game. Tiger Woods became Mr. Irrelevant shortly after. The purchase of Natural Motion appears to be the only good investment for shareholders. The building adds nothing of value to us shareholders, and it might actually hurt us some. The reason I say this is because ZYNGA has so much cash, that they can take their sweet time trying to create games and have a long cash burn rate. The sale of the building will add to this pile of cash, and in the meantime shareholders have their money tied up in a company that's burning cash, paying new executives with stock and not creating new games. Except for the Natural Motion games as you mentioned. When Pincus came back for a second tour he sold his company to ZYNGA for one dollar. You cannot believe all of the positive comments on this board that he was an awesome guy. Except that the company brought nothing to the table except a few more employees on the payroll and the ZYNGA had to pay off around 400k dollars in debt his company was in. What a joke. Now with this new CEO and him coming from a gaming company, maybe he can right the ship. So far CSR2 is doing well, and they need to bring DOT to market fairly soon.

Intelidog- you know many times we've been disappointed with the ZYNGA management. After months and months of discussion on this board, all the good guys just lost interest and left. I'm still holding my shares. as I said last year, I'll wait to see what DOT does, because E&A was an epic failure due to no PR or advertising. You also know better than most that the ZYNGA management has postponed the launch of DOT for way too long. Personally, I'd like to see it launched really soon. I know it's their last bullet (poor choice of words with the past couple of days current events), but for a lack of a better word, that's all they have working that has huge upside potential. Between the current success of CSR2 and piggybacked with DOT, the revs would jump and the pps should follow. I'm finally up a little $ on my ZNGA shares, but win, lose or draw I'm out after Dec. Hopefully it's win not lose. But, if they delay DOT again, ZNGA can go to $20 without me. I've missed far too many opportunities with the dough I have tied up here. All and all, I'm finally optimistic with the launch of CSR2 and the departure of Pincus for the second time. I don't think the stock could handle a Pincus third tour. It's good to see you post here on the board, it's infected with spam. A couple of the good people from the GLUU board have started getting involved with ZNGA and there's starting to be some good discussion again over here. BTW, the GLUU board is great, like this board used to be.

I think that ZNGA trades sideways to down a little before earnings on 8/04. Unless, there is an upgrade by an analyst or some other important announcement. ZYNGA under Pincus and Mattrick were like the NSA, zero information.

Six, have you ever seen a board as ugly as that ZNGA message board? It was good to see someone from this board post over there. I'm conflicted on whether I'd like to see ZYNGA bring out DOT much sooner that later. They would be using up their only two bullets (CSR2 & DOT) but it might give them the big boost in revenue and pps. That's assuming CSR2 stays strong and DOT is a big hit.. Versus letting CSR2 play out and use their last bullet in Dec as planned. I don't think that would help us shareholders as much, but then the Pincus and the management were never very pro-shareholder value orientated. Maybe with the new CEO, who knows his philosophy?

Personally I'm holding both GLUU and ZNGA until late Dec. I'm waiting for the TS game and DOT (if they ever bring it to market). At this point why not in my opinion. GLU with NM, WeFire game and TS on the horizon, I like their pipeline. They seem to have more products working than ZYNGA does. But, ZYNGA has DOT which could also be huge. I don't think they have anything working besides DOT, but as we can see from other gaming companies and KK in the past for GLU, one big hit can pump up the pps quickly. At 6-7 bucks a share, I'd be out of both companies. If TS and DOT bomb in Dec. I'm still out. To me it's worth the wait.

This is the type of updates and improvements I keep hoping for. If they can fix the buggy issues and the celebs will promote their games like GR does, then there should be a nice resurgence of K&K game. Thanks for the updates on_pphire as always.

I agree. This used to be a great board with good discussions like the GLUU board is now. I know that a few of the regulars that were knowledgeable investors and followed ZNGA stock, just got fed up with the management and their lack of advertising, clarity and direction. This board has become infected with spam. Don't they only get paid per click? So, if nobody clicks on the thread because it's showing as spam, didn't they waste their timing posting it?

  • theirrunning theirrunning Jul 4, 2016 3:44 PM Flag

Then GLUU developers must have done a much better job with the GR game because he's promoting the heck out of the game. It seems to me that they should be able to not only fix the KPP game, but with that many twitter followers it should be a priority. I hope they can get it right and soon. If they did get things dialed in and the other games coming out aren't glitchy and buggy, It could end up being a great year for the GLUU pps and us shareholders.

  • Katy Perry broke what they're calling the twittersphere record with 90 million followers. How fast would her KPP game rise if she would tweet about? If only a quarter of her followers downloaded and played her game, GLUU pps would be rockin. Why doesn't she pump her game on Twitter?

I wonder if GLU or Zynga will do any advertising like Mobile Strink or Clash of Clans did on a TV media blitz? They both have tatyed at the or near the top for a long time. Meanwhile Zynga hasn't advertised Ice Age Arctic Blast even once. They don't believe in spending money to promote their games. I was hoping we would see CSR2 ads everywhere. At least with celeb games they can self promote. I saw a post here yesterday I think by on_pphire that some of them do voice overs and selfies in the games. I think that's great to keep their fans engaged. I hope that GRD gets promoted on the cooking shows and CSR2 gets promoted on maybe ESPN sports for example.

  • GRD is getting great reviews on App Annie. Up to #54 in the U.S. on IPhone in new downloads and #40 in the U.K. CSR2 looks awesome in the trailer and on a few Youtube videos, but neither is getting any love from investors today. These games need to produce or these two companies are going to have serious issues. If they produce, it will attract new money and we'll be able to finally see some pps appreciation. Too bad GLUU has faded the last three days when the DOW gained back the 900 points it lost. I hope Ramsay has a good run. Good luck to all, except the shorts.

  • theirrunning theirrunning Jun 30, 2016 3:52 PM Flag

I just looked at App Annie 10 minutes and it showed #54 in new on IPhone in the U.S. and #40 in the U.K.

  • They have a video about one minute long of the CSR2 game. The graphics, colors and sounds are awesome.

Glu and Zynga both launch games

Thanks point, I'll check out those sites. I did google Zynga news after I posted those questions and there was a Yahoo article about CSR2 from about 6am Pacific time. One thing I do have to say about ATVI and Kotick, is that they do spending money on advertising and promoting their games. Advertising and promoting are not two words in Mark Pincus's vocabulary. I hope the Ramsey game is a big hit and I hope NM and BS are too.

I have a couple of questions. First to point, isn't Bobby Kotick still the CEO of ATVI? When I was in ATVI a few years back it traded between 8-10 bucks/shr. they had just come out with the huge war game that Billzard created, but at every cc Kotick would give dire outlook no matter by how much they beat earnings estimates. I mean every quarter for a couple years in a row without fail. The analysts always fell for it and the next quarter they beat the daylights out of the earnings and the same cycle. Finally when it hit $13 I got out. When did Kotick leave? Second question is where did you guys see the CSR2 ads from ZYNGA? I haven't seen anything on YHOO home, business pages or Bloomberg or Market Watch. I'd like to see some PR from ZYNGA. They never promote, never advertise. That's why E&A died so quickly. Maybe the new CEO has a new ideas. Thanks.

point- I just looked at the IGN website you suggested. You're right, it only shows the 2 GLU games and zero for ZYNGA in 2016. When I searched upcoming IPhone games, a lot of websites came up. In your opinion, what make IGN better than webcrawler, bgr, pocketgames and many others listed? Are they worth spending any time researching them? If yes, I'll go through each one them to see if they have anything different for both companies.
