The company is and will not for sale. Wu founded this company and now that it's potential is beginning to show strength Wu, although he would never say it knows the company is worth 7x what the current price is today. One has to wonder with all the problems Samsung has right now, if HIMX will benefit from their recall on galaxy. If so we could see an explosive Q when HIMX announces in Nov (CCB has the earnings date wrong as it is not in October). But again no buyout coming IMHO ever.
Walmart is prevented from competing in some areas RAD is in, yet the government will not let Kroger close some RAD stores. So on one hand the government prevents competition and on the other hand doesn't want a store to close. What is wrong with this picture? The FTC better be careful because if they don't approve the deal even more stores will close as RAD would be forced to do anyway. I expect RAD and again it is JMHO, that if the deal fails to be approved RAD will close 25% of their stores, being the low margin stores in the inner cities. Government at work..., not! No wonder so many are looking at Trump.
Still too cheap, Looking for at the least 12.5 for the G's. Remember the coupon is $25 and if the common trades up so too will the G's and H's. If they want 2/3rds then they should be purchasing them on the open market now at a cheaper price than the offer and raise the offer once more. By doing this they can retire one would think, 1/3rd off the trading floor. Now if the offer is $7+ why isn't the share price there now? As one can see there has been more H's tendered currently as a percentage and that is why the bid is at times higher than the G's as less shares are out there to trade. I see them raise again in November, most likely to close to $11. However, if their earnings beat the street, then that will not be enough either. Also remember the dilution of the common that we are not seeing either right now. This tells me the street believes NM is improving. So NM buy the shares of the G's and H's now on the open market up to at least $7 and save money. By doing this you may be able to get 70% to 80% in the long term including those that are tendered. Huge savings to the balance sheet and a great debt reduction.
