Not sure if this related or if anyone else has noticed this? But, my walmart is putting in new shelving in which there isn't metal blocking between aisles. I would think this maybe a part of keeping track of inventory or what is on the shelves? It's more open to being able to be scanned in my opinion. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this change at their walmarts?
If it were boxing they would have known to throw in the towel already. It will be interesting when the new short numbers come out.
I keep thinking of the couple of articles a few days ago about a hedge fund going bust. Although, in that case I think it was more of a pyramid scheme? This is going to end much like something ended in Animal House......"I gave my love a story that had no end....I ga......" It will end with a really violent crash and you will be able to hear splintered wood! And when that happens we will just smile and say.....sorry!lol
HOUSE IS ON FIRE......;do you run or to you throw more cash at it?? The price keeps going up either way. The question is when do you fold a losing hand?? This is obviously a loser at this point. Every single day we get more positive news. I feel another mob article coming on........"New barcodes cause cancer....."LOL
Oh no I totally get that the current barcodes are REALLY easy to scam! I was just curious on the things that beep at the door if you are stealing something? I wasn't sure if they were going to be able to detect the dmrc barcodes or if they had also got on board. It would be extremely hard to get around a package that has a wrapper totally engrossed in barcodes that you can't see? It'd would be pretty hard. Many great things on the brink no doubt about it
Where did you get the info flip?? I was very curious on how the fraud and theft thing would work with the barcodes? I mean it makes sense if it's easier to scan at the checkout that it would beep on someone going out the door with something. And I think the only question us longs have is WHEN does the success start hitting the bottom line and what CC it gets announced? We have one in July do we think this is too early?? And for shorts.......It's like watching Indiana Jones.....but instead of running away from the huge rock .....he's running towards it!!lol
Yeah...it just depends on how much you read into it. I think slee was right in what he said what has been revealed from the CC. But, the main thing is still the fact that we are not going to hear about the deals until the companies give Bruce the ok to name them. I think we all assume that there are plenty of people on board......it's just when Bruce actually decides to make it official. I think the bigger thing to remember would be Bruce's famous quote...."we respect the privacy of our partners and customers....etc" So, it kind of makes you wonder on that last upgrade how in the world you can set a price target when you have absolutely no real numbers to base it on?? Perhaps the next CC will give us some hard numbers....I hope anyways
RUH OH RAGGEY!!! Well we all know that it is going to take institutional buying to really move us up and the shorts to finally give up. We maybe on the brink of that. I forgot who posted the increase the other day, but I think the big boys are catching up with the story now. THE FORCE IS STRONG WITH THIS ONE.......kind of makes you wonder what ever happened to Irish??LOL And Awsmiso ......is still waiting thought it was too expensive at 30 yesterday......now he's thinking.....31 is too expensive I'll wait for it to go to 30.
Yeah I thought that Friday...definitely today as well. Gen. Custer had a last stand too. I wonder if this will be the shorts? Sooner or later you sound for a retreat right??? Or do you die saying.......dang there were a lot of indians?? Guess we will find out soon enough.
Are we getting close to the shorts throwing in the towel? They hold more shares and price continues to go higher. I think we saw them making a few $1 trades last week. Shows me that maybe they are beginning to think the continued double down on a loser proposition maybe coming to an end. They are running out of time and all theories you could have against dmrc are getting batted down. We could be closing in.
I think that's thinking pretty far down the road, but I get what you are saying. I think I'd be more satisfied that if the barcodes takes off putting a dividend out there first. But, that's just me. Reestablishing the dividend puts the street at ease. Then you can make some serious moves. Although, we could very possibly do both at the same time. I think Bruce has said it many times that the partners are coming up with ways to use the tech that they didn't even think of? Sooo.....many different pokers in the one fire with maybe multiple fires yet to be started. I with you though!
“Consumers are increasingly demanding access to complete and accurate product information to inform their purchase decisions and more than 90 percent use their smartphones while shopping in retail stores,” said Laura DiSciullo, senior vice president of solutions for GS1 US. “The combination of mobile technology and shopper expectations has created the perfect storm and is challenging brands and retailers to respond with richer information for the consumer. GS1 US Mobile Scan addresses those requirements, helping to provide the ultimate consumer experience now and in the future.”.......THAT'S LAURA DiSCIULLO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF SOLUTIONS GS1 US. Just wanted to make sure so someone didn't get confused on who she is??LOL
I think we will get to see some of it this year. I forget how they defined it last CC, but I do remember we debated on the board where a certain amount of money came from? That might have been the beginning of payments to DMRC for Wegmans? I mean I guess we won't know when the revs actually hit the books until Bruce says it. But, I know my ears will be waiting with most on the next few CC's to see if he will give the analysts a better idea of how they can forecast the future. Because, we are all in the dark a little on the timing of payments and what they have going right now. And sooner or later you have to give the street a better idea of how they can quantify this stuff. Otherwise, Bruce may actually get a negative view from the street which would not be good.
Nice work utah! Maybe we can see when wegman's announced and use that as a metric for the others who jump on board? But, since they were the first maybe not? I'm sure the process will get quicker and more reliable. Also, next CC might give us an idea when the money hits the books. Whether they pay up front or if they wait until post production. Also, whether or not they pay for all sku's at once?
