After such a long delay in launching a generic drug, when I saw that management expected to launch Calcitriol in April, I took that as a promise to do so. I assume that RMTI will address Calcitriol launch plans in the next conference call.
You are correct. Although I sold, I still believe in Triferic and am just waiting to see when Triferic sales take off before getting back in. You would have thought that after a bunch of recent litigation threats that RMTI would not post anything about a product launch unless they were darn sure of meeting their expectations.
An excerpt from Yahoo:
The Company’s contract manufacturer found that one of the excipients used in the completed finished product for commercial sale was out of specification for stability. The stability issue is not related to the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) in Calcitriol, which is supplied by a different manufacturer. Rockwell is working closely with its contract manufacturer to resolve this issue in a timely manner. This manufacturing issue will require the Company to adjust its near-term expectations for commercial launch of Calcitriol in the U.S. to the third quarter of 2016.
Could someone with technical competence explain this
It is smart to put out the information before Rob has his conference call sometime in May. The real question is the nature of the fix...is it an easy or more difficult fix?
He is a major shareholder and will not be removed. I just hope that he does not receive any more stock options. I keep hoping that he can successfully execute so I can get back in when triferic sales come in but his continual missing launch expectations is not good and Wall Street will punish the stock price
It won't happen. Rob is the point man for sales and marketing. That is his background and I believe in a conference call last year, he stated that he was the contact for the big 8 dialysis centers
After the last conference call, I just got fed up with inept mgmt. I mean, Calcitriol is generic vitamin D. If you can't launch this successfully and in a timely manner, something is not right. I remember that Calcitriol was originally supposed to be launched about 2 years ago. Wall Street will punish companies when they miss launch dates. I hope for the long term longs that Rob has something good to say at the May CC
I don't believe what he says until he can prove that he can get major dialysis customers buying Triferic. I've been criticized heavily in the past for calling his inept mgmt. issues to light and have been called a "whiner", "basher", etc. All I ever wanted was for the guy to sell a ton of Triferic and make the share price go to $20+. This morning, you got more of the same old song...another delay on a product launch.
I still believe that Triferic has potential, but until you have sales, you only have the hope that it will be a big seller. Unless Rob has a great conference call, the price only has one way to go
You have been on the board for at least 3+ years. Do you expect to hear positive news from Rob on the upcoming conference call?
Didn't RMTI actually have some Triferic sales in 2015? I thought that I read somewhere that they had about $200,000 2015 Triferic sales. Perhaps, I'm wrong. Do you know if they had any 2015 Triferic sales?
After the Calcitriol launch delay, there had better not be any stock option compensation in this quarter. I think it would be bad for the share price as it would cause negative sentiment and probably a lot more selling
Rob has to get Triferic sales going this year for the stock price to go up. He has a lot of shares and it would benefit him a lot for a higher price. I hope for a good CC so I can get back in
