How the hell the 150 rigs to be delivered new this year? Are those shipyards and owners/builders blind, it is. That is another problem other than oil price. Maybe they will not finish it due to current market.
The problems are low oil price, shale oil & gas, clean energy (wind and solar are very limited of course) ..... they come and go, but will HERO have enough to weather the down turn? I am holding.
Appreciate your views.
(1) Why oil price is so low now
(2) Will low oil price kill the Shale oil production? (I assume Shale operation is more expensive, not profitable when oil drops to some level?)
The cash will go pay down the debt.... disregard, it is a good news, a smaller company, less debts, grow the important segment of their business, Yes it is possible disregard of how they do it from here on.
They can actually, should, invest rather than pay down the debt.
A very large volume traded, may top the recent high volume of Aug 2, 2013, 12M shares. I think this is a good confirmation the share can rise more after January around the corner.
$10 ??? not sure yet, $10 in 1 year perhaps, now we will have low debt, great!
My guess only: the liability is not tied to the schools, it is to the head quarter. So we still have problems unless we can fetch more than $100M for the 39 schools. Is it possible? If we will wash away more liability from this sales, then the picture is different. COCO has obligation to announce it more clearly, or at a follow on announcement when details are available. Jack sucks...... but he is still being paid!
The details from the announcement. The 39 best schools 20k student, how much does it worth?
"Corinthian also owns Heald College, which has 12 campuses in three Western states; 13 Everest and WyoTech campuses in California; and 14 Everest campuses in Ontario, Canada. Collectively, these 39 schools serve approximately 20,000 students. Corinthian expects to continue to operate these schools until it finds suitable buyers for them.?
Actually, managements are selling just like their routine in the past even at very low 10 cents. So I thought it is hopeless. But then, sometimes they are sunk into the troubles will only see troubles. Jack is very negative kind of guy to begin with.
Will some sort of meaningful sales wipe out some debt, and stay small, and survive? Or the damned ED has to shut down the schools rather than shutting down the management?
Dealing with the Government is bad news, that reminds me of FMCC and FNMA, back up to $4 and now $2-3..... and it was left to die at 20 cents as well.
wishful thinking, we were here many times, just fade away soon. I am a sad long. When will be sold for some values, maybe we can lose less ....
I just could not understand ED, why don't they request the board of COCO to fire all the bad management team that has wrong doing. Why do we have to shut down a valid good school!
I do not study Soros, is it the characteristic of his fund?
This is puzzling, why would Soros waste times on COCO, even it is only 69k shares. It says they bought between 28 cents to 1.41, reported on 6/30/2014 ....
Could we sue ED? I think they single out COCO, and does not want to admit COCO's explanation that they had some isolated incidents violating something and now has been resolved.
The 8k filing looks like laying ground for some debate at court or maybe pulled to the senate hearing....
ED has been too unreasonable.
I think the shorts finally is covering..... yet they managed to control the price down as they cover. Smart trick. But I think AMD has been transformed for $10 and beyond, sooner or later.
Lisa is good, what is the reason combining global business with other 2 departments. Is there a big success in selling AMD products into China? Any insight? thanks.
With all the problems we know about COCO, the positive is $100M debt ($28M cash) is small compared to EDMC for example. Enterprise Value is only $151M (market cap $85M). Investment banker will figure out something to restructure this ship.
