Increasing competition, low oil prices dont matter?
Keep drinking that Koolaid.
Umm, Panasonic is a competitor in energy storage.
As is BYD, Enphase Energy, Alevo, Sunverge, BMZ, NEC Energy Solutions, Johnson Controls, LG Chem, Samsung, Saft, GE and Mitsubishi
Walmarts is next, they're everywhere.
Free charging while you shop for life.
Tesla house of cars... its getting more desperate all the time.
So far this year the Nissan LEAF (thanks to a new 30 kWh version) is safely in the #1 spot with some 19,500 deliveries.
Second is the Tesla Model S at over 14,500, while third place now belongs to BYD Tang at just over 12,300, which overtook the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV during the month.
Also positive is the nearly 8,000 Renault ZOEs sold, good enough for fifth worldwide, despite only a European presence.
... except there are already a lot of well established players competing with Tesla.
Margins wont be there.

UAW has met with Musk. So far, Musk seems to be willing to let the employees decide.
With 1000 current employees, this is a good time for UAW to get in the door.
Several interesting observations :
In March, social data aggregator LikeFolio, which had previously been bullish on Tesla, turned bearish after seeing a trend of weaker purchase intent.
LikeFolio reiterated its bearish call in late April, suggesting Model 3 orders were cannibalizing sales of current models. LikeFolio co-founder Andy Swan provided additional color to us on May 20th.
Swan suggested parallels between the underwhelming Apple Watch and the Tesla Model 3.
Author also suggested several hedge strategies.
Is this a distribution of wealth thing? LOL
I think youll find some companies will do anything to get business from
Tesla, but theyll pay a price.
Smarter companies wont go anywhere near Musk, they'll avoid associations
just like they did with the downsized gigafactory.
They still remember when Musk reneged on agreement to hire ex NUMMI workers.
Anyone that works for someone as batshht crazy as Musk should have some protection.
My Chevy slows if I run out of gas, can I sue Chevy?
Seriously, deplete the battery on an EV and it slows or stops.
Yep, even a Tesla.
If you hadnt noticed, there's hasnt been a long line of companies wanting to deal with Musk.
Even Panasonic is distancing itself.
