oil market has also changed in the last month.
Before, yes, oil price low is good for consumer spending, airlines etc, but kills off the oil patch.
In the last month, with $50 oil, rig count has been rising! So it is now possible to have the goodies associated with 'low' oil price, but still have the oil patch return.
OPEC countries that pegged their government spending on $100 oil is in a lot of trouble - there is no such thing as killing off the shale technology. Once out of the genie bottle, it is here to stay. Like stay forever.
"That's Good what have any of these guys accomplished lately?"
let's see...... the new CFO killed the Inotera deal, that's worth at least 8 figures, if not 9 figures. Enuf for yar?
He approached them? interesting, I wonder if MU lawyers will get a say on this one. Or maybe not, this one might be 'enabling' the eco system for 3dXP. And if MU is interested in buying out this new company later, now they have an insider point man.
3 earnings ago, MU moved from $1 5 to $18/19 on the premise that the new downturn won't be like previous downturns because of the consolidations. It seems like that theme is 'on' after all. I won't be a bit surprised MU will hit that by next earnings.
don't think the Taiwanese agree, but, as Chinese business men, they are used to taking and giving it not just on the chin, but also elsewhere, lol
and MU also used the downturn to kill off the Inotera deal too.... glad the last CFO is gone, this new one ain't half bad!
I wonder even 3dXP being a '18 kind of thing, this guy is already cashing out of his inside knowledge of 3dXP. Coming out with 3xXP system while everybody else is still screaming AFA/All Flash Aray..... Not a bad ride if you can land that.
Just like all the major players got their start, we've created new category called computational defined storage
"But then there came 3xXP, the storage class memory that wiped the slate clean, CLEAN I tell yar, left us fighting to split up the left-over crumbs of the buggy whip market.....". the old man just cried into his drink...... sad sight to behold, I excused myself and mumbled something about the need to go to .......
take a look at STX. Just did a huge layoff and now warned they will be hitting the ball out of the ballpark this Q. If you ask, and not get the answer you wanted, maybe the answer you wanted wasn't the right answer?
Even a broken clock is right twice a day....... you might just be right on this one. STX soared AH, pre-announce much high sales. General market not withstanding, should be a good day for MU and PC stocks tomorrow.
if japan is any guide, administrations came and went for tens of years. They are still print like crazy, negative rates and nothing has happened to the economy.
When they raise it, I'll believe it when I see it.
yup yup yup ..... all the feds and central bankers have, by now, never seen any scenario that is not a cause for printing more money. In fact, they are so diligent, they will print em before the scenario has taken place..... just in case. This will not end well.
1. Inotera has OBSOLETE drams, 2x node, not current 20nm node or the upcoming 1x nodes..
2. I'm sure MU has no tech transfer in their Inotera contract.
2. TU is on record that they are seeking NAND, and NOT drams.
MU management gave state of the company just a week ago, including guidance for Aug Q, of which they have already seen 1 months worth. Are you seriously doubting their guidance? Is MU the only guy not making money on NANDs?
Massive overcapacity coming right up for NAND. No escape for NAND and that will also crash drams too as the koreans shift capacity back to dram. Only bright spot left will be 3dXP.
