I particularly liked them back in the old days when they sat ready to sell in the old display warmers for a little while after they came off the grill because then the whole sandwich was heated up. Those days ended when they decided to install the made-to-order kitchens to cater to the "special order" customers who there is simply no pleasing anyway. In my day (in addition to walking 5 miles uphill in the snow each way to and from school) if we didn't like pickles or onions we just picked them off the burger after we paid for it.
They are pretty cold -- I have to agree with qqqlqinvwstor on this one. I really miss the old Big Macs when they made everything in batches on the grill instead of assembling them to order with warmed precooked burgers. Fries aren't nearly as good either -- they should stop listening to the freaks who complained about using beef lard who do not and never will eat at MCD's anyway. I have pretty much stopped going except for the occasional breakfast which I still really like.
