ALU union pension fund will not allow at that price, for the sake of those who must retire or find another assignment.

Stock is worth what it will earn in the future, in 2016 ALU should be profitable.

Some the very old retired own ALU shares at $75, can you expect them to vote yes?

    Good luck!

    Sincerely,

    Carolyn Novice

Derivatives are for millions of shares, and funds handling have billions under management. Berkshire Owns more than 550,000,000 shares of BAC. What is he suppose to do? See when BAC earning comes. INTC earning was not that good but it moved up, because lot of mutual funds had derivatives to protect from bigger loss.

Yes, I think ALU will move 25% from here, before we know what or if there is an offer. Please have faith in your holdings. Most old owners are long gone with big losses. Those who buy at 5 will not sell at $6.25,

We do not know if dollar can stay strong for next 30 days.

    Good luck?

    Sincerely,
    Carolyn Novice

It is a joke, those Who eat kosher pizza, is signal to buy ALU at the market, otherwise it is inside trading. If I knew ALU will be taken over @ $7.45, then I make a phone call and order something small at a store for $7.45. The rest will be handled by others. Stock buyer will buy from outside USA. That is why ALU is still moving with very high volume and no profit taking.

    Good luck!

Try not to order kosher pizza at wrong place, you Swiss bank will have 10,000 shares of ALU.

    Sincerely,

NOK at present cannot evaluate. Someone in Atlantic City bought a casino for less than 10 cents to a dollar. ALU has employees, their pension and lay off, cost and fringe benefits, also donot forget medical for those who retired earlier.

Pension benefits, will the Unions agree to vote for their shares?

Sometime it doesn't work as planned. Bank of America bought credit card company and mortgage company, and brokerage company. Now every quarter BAC takes losses and charges for employees laid off.

ALU has assets, and workers, that can now run the company smoothly with profits in 2016.

We can all speculate, but you will be wise to wait 6 months till Columbus Day to discover what a jem you have.

No one likes to lose a job if above 50 years old, ALU has lot of old folks. If they all agree for less pension and stock for future benefits, we could get ball rolling.

I am a trader and will hold this for another 25% move from here.

World markets are doing very good, China was up 9% last week. In US we are starting with speculative phase, which can last till October 2015.

I am not a fan of French early retirement and benefits plan.

    Good luck!

Try not to lose sleep on this, by weekend all newspapers and even Barron's will have a story on ALU.
So your patience will be rewarded. Breakaway gaps occur at the beginning of a major move.

    Sincerely,
    Carolyn Novice

If there are 3 million shares traded and average daily is 5 million, that can happened based on market conditions. But ALU volume 5 times more in the same week, means there is pending demand or supply due to derivatives.

    Please Google Search Derivatives
In this example some big holders decided to buy 15 million shares, so the block house gives the quote, to fill the order, it dumps enough stock maybe a million in the morning, to drag the price lower. Seeing the lower price there will be more sellers, as the stock was going south for months.

Then comes the big buying of 5 million in next day and the stock after dropping 25 cents, recovers 65 cents. We will call a technical bounce after over sold conditions.

In fact it is due to derivatives, someone bought a put to protect when the stock was higher like 4.5 and stock had gone down to 3.75.

In today’s market good example, there are big holders of ALU, they wrote call options above $4..4.5...5, long time ago when ALU was $3.
It is like saying....I bet you there is no way ALU be up 50% in two years, so you wrote 5 million share transaction for $250,000. It is easy money, but now ALU is $5 and you must give 5,000,000 shares, which you do not have. Please go to the BigCharts sight and see one year chart.

This big volume (Google Search Breakaway Gap) 82 million is due to derivatives. Some one has to buy the stock and provide.

Frankly the Nokia news is known event. Why did not ALU open with a gap and traded in a narrow range? We do not know how many derivatives were written.

Before toping ALU Volume Decline will be a good indictor.

If I was in charge of Nokia, stock trading should be stopped pending clarification and news price offered.

    Good luck!

    Sincerely,
    Carolyn Novice

I was short Lucent when it was above $75, someone I met at the Catskill Mountain Resort, called Su Casa. The person worked with a big firm and after a few drinks, was enlightening all of us with the inner workings.

As far ALU is concerned, please check the volume for the historical low in 2014

    Date 2014...volume (00)....High....Low
    30-Sep ....79,362...... 3.08...... 3.00
    1-Oct ....114,268.... 3.03.... 2.94
    2-Oct.... 121,780.... 2.99.... 2.89
    3-Oct..... 69,146.... 2.98.... 2.92
    6-Oct.... 33,094... 3.01.... 2.96....................very low volume
    7-Oct.... 95,383.... 2.94... 2.84
    8-Oct.... 148,058.... 2.85.. 2.69.......................very High volume 14,805,800

    From 3. 3 million to 14,8 million....why?

    Good luck!

Maybe they did and were collecting; there are lots of days, when ALU volume jumped to 15,000,000 from 5,000,000.

Sometime the company tells a friendly mutual fund manager.

I know that, that is a joke. Even if it s a Swiss Bank, US block house are all connected to share the bounty.

Do you mean when ALU the old LU was $75, more than 10 years ago, the old timers from Lehman Brother and Bear Sterns, just vanished in the sunset.

    Good luck!

It is always done; check the option activity in any stock, (GE had a few weeks ago, and CNBC mentioned) before the take over. Insiders use code language, on phone, like I must see the priest and make a confession; I am drinking and seeing another girl.

That means we have another suitor for the company.

ABB has deep ties to Germany and India, with 10,000 employees in each country. In both, ABB has engineers working in research and development, manufacturing plants and service outlets helping customers boost their efficiency and profitability.

For instance, hundreds of ABB robots deployed in German factories are monitored remotely by ABB engineers 7,000 kilometers away in Bangalore who make sure they’re running as they should. This is just one example of how ABB is deploying technologies of the Internet of Things, Services and People to enable regional strengths to be combined and multiplied to boost productivity and operational performance.

Safe, collaborative and precise: YuMi is set to usher in a new era of small-parts assembly, working on the same lines as its human coworkers without need for protective fences“This robot is connected – here, you see the promise that accompanies the Internet of Things, Services and People - with a direct link to our robot service center in India,” Spiesshofer told Modi and Merkel. “In India, we have a service center for all ABB robots that have been installed worldwide, where we analyze and process operational data” to help our customers.

Spiesshofer said YuMi costs around $40,000 and is for sale immediately, while estimating such an investment for customers would pay for itself in only two years, with the accompanying productivity and flexibility benefits.

  • Merkel and Modi visit ABB, a power and automation partner for Germany and India
2015-04-13 - German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited ABB at the Hannover Messe 2015, where the German leader used the opportunity to put YuMi's safety features to the test. YuMi passed with flying colors.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are introduced to YuMi by ABB Chief Executive Officer Ulrich SpiesshoferMeeting with ABB Chief Executive Officer Ulrich Spiesshofer in Hanover, Modi and Merkel got a close look at YuMi, the world’s first truly collaborative dual-arm robot that will lead to a paradigm shift for people and machines in small parts assembly.
For the first time, YuMi makes it possible for robots and their human coworkers to work safely side-by-side on shared tasks without protective fencing or cages – qualities the German leader tested when Merkel placed her finger inside the gripper on YuMi’s right arm, triggering the robot’s security features that keep humans out of harm’s way.

“When you touch it, it comes to a halt,” Spiesshofer told Merkel and Modi during their visit. “What's more, this robot learns on its own. It has cameras, the robot can be led and can be programmed very quickly and intuitively.”

German Chancellor Angela Merkel places her finger between YuMi's grippers, illustrating the inherent safety of the world's first truly collaborative dual-arm robotModi’s “Make in India” campaign is seeking to accelerate the country’s growth and job creation by boosting manufacturing capacity for domestic consumption and export.

Spiesshofer, accompanied by Hans-Georg Krabbe, head of ABB in Germany, and Bazmi Husain, ABB India managing director, described how YuMi is ideally positioned to support such an endeavor: It was developed by ABB teams in Germany, Sweden and China to augment industries that demand efficient, flexible small-parts assembly, including computers and consumer electronics and comunications.

“We’re calling this a job-creation machine, because working together, people and robots are more productive,” Spiesshofer said of YuMi. “The countries with the largest installed base of robots – Germany, Japan and South Korea - also have the lowest unemployment rates. This shows very clearly that collaboration between humans and robots creates jobs.”

Like US France have issues disguised under their system of national security.

Nov. 29 (Bloomberg) -- French intelligence services worked “very closely” with the U.S. National Security Agency in spying on the country’s citizens, Le Monde reported, citing documents it said it obtained from Edward Snowden.

The outrage expressed by the French president after reports of NSA spying in the country made it seem like France was a “perfect victim,” the afternoon daily said. The documents, however, show that French intelligence agencies transfered massive amounts of data from France to their U.S. and U.K. counterparts, Le Monde said.

You can use ....wikileaks.org....for gaining wisdom, without discussion.

For ALU you can figure out, what part the company plays and has in the past.

Kindly do not respond or expect a reply.
