Thanks for the reply and your thoughts. Moving from a known to an unknown creates some anxiousness and uncertainty with the stock. Good luck to all "OINK" longs.

I probably misspoke by saying we don't know why - they have told us what they want to do with their new strategic plan, but since the moment that was announced last month my "nervousness" for lack of a better word went on alert. But I still don't know why. Completely changing to be "more profitable" doesn't quite cut it for me. It sounds like I give up on what I am doing, time for a career change. Maybe it will work, maybe it won't.

they are accumulating cash in order to diversify. I owned both Zhongpin (HOGS) and OINK for the potential growth and profits from pork. HOGS was taken private as I'm sure you know which left OINK. The early promise of OINK was unrealized, but they haven't failed at it and they appear to have worked very hard to make it successful. They now want to become a conglomerate. To me that is more risk here. Companies transform themselves for various reasons. I see this as them giving up on OINK. I'm a LT shareholder with a modest position. I've got some good profits. I'm not sure I want stick around now for the new thing whatever it becomes. I suspect others feel the same way. (My gain here is roughly 70% but I was in for the long haul and seeking to continue the gains. We haven't been going anywhere in 2014)

the company is transforming without the general shareholders knowing why. I agree that another private issue is undoubtedly in the works and the funds will be used for new acquisitions and eventually the OINK roots will be less and less. I suspect that once there are several large partners in place that the company will be taken private and we, the general shareholders will get a small premium. Perhaps $2.50. I would much rather see the company grow and continue to be a part of the growth but I don't think it will be allowed to happen.
