this current price is the 2nd lowest since its IPO.
Winter & spring 2013 was the bottom and this time is close.
Should be very interesting if Sprint & T-Mobile ever got a green lite for merger.
actually picked up on 3/11 @ 13.64, so in a hole of 58 cents as of this hour - no much. Will hold till back up 14.
protectionist vs consumers in a free enterprise system.
Disclose your personal and institution carriers!
Yeah! $40 cable internet UP TO 1.5Mbits - UP TO could mean ???Kbits speed.
Have you ever check you internet speed at home. Post it after you did.
Consumers are screwed with high prices and slow speed.
US is #15 at the bottom of 16 surveyed.
Even South Korean consumers are enjoying cheaper and faster wireless access.
Know the figure, the duopoly controls 75% of the wireless consumers, including you.
S+TMUS combined is less than 25% with the rest for regional carriers like USM, etc..
You could legally walk away and take the phone with you and go with TMUS for $90 with 2.5GB and no hidden/automatic overage charge, just slowed down till next month cycle.
the deal was inked only a couple months ago!
Good turn around time.
" input from public advocacy groups"
Did you get the definition of Public Advocacy Group from the dictionary?
It is called a Special Interest Group - Lobbyist - backed by deep pockets.
Be around DC to get the real definition of Public advocacy group.
Don't be an ignorant idiot!
It's a Business - there no such thing as free.
Do you think VZ lost money on you?
VZ is laughing out load.
looks very positive.
FMR & Fidelity slightly down.
Blackrock is the top institutional holder.
Not bad for the day.
Those squawkers owe an explanation why they do not have either S or TMUS as their personal or business mobile carriers!
With scale merit, . …we can compete fiercely and bring about faster and cheaper mobile networks == Good for consumers!
Read the WSJ Digits: Parsing SoftBank’s Statements on a Possible T-Mobile Deal
"From a normal person (non-business) point of view, 4 competitors are better than 3. The government is looking through a consumer lens "
There more than 4 competitors counting regional carriers - USM, Ntelos, etc..
What is good for consumers are competitors that can compete against the Duopoly for a long haul - not short term/gain from deals that erode the profit margin. It is not an in a stage of infancy that competition heavily relies on innovation/invention - economy of scale for leverage. Either S or TMUS would need an extra leg to stand up.
ATT 2013 adjusted earnings of $2.50 per share, up 8.2% year over year.
2013 profit margin 14 %.
TMUS profit margin 0%.
Disclose your self & your carriers!
If you read my disclosure post - " I dropped my smaller carrier to go with one of the Duopoly because of coverage - economy of scale - although I am paying more.
The combined TMUS+S will definitely provide a better coverage to compete against the Duopoly.
The squawkers are hypocrites unless they disclose their carriers - both personal & business carriers.
Perhaps no hypocrites - just to get cheap entry point.
I am willing to bet 99.99% of those squawkers have either VZ or ATT as their wireless carrier.
As a fact, I dropped my smaller carrier to go with one of the Duopoly because of coverage - economy of scale - although I am paying more.
But I plan to switch back to the combined TMUS+S to save money.
