A year? hahahaha :)
I have been begging for new management for a heck of a lot longer than that. Charlie Brown and Lucy could have done a better job then the weenies they had.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Yes, $6 by the end of the year would be nice.
I am still bullish on $13.50 to $14.00 in the next couple of years.
I am thinking $12.50. Of course I have never been right yet about a stock.
It is a wonder I have any money left. :)
I have plenty of patience. I have held this stock for a few years now.
I just like to vent my frustrations once in a while. :)
O.D. value should be around 2.75B now. That shrinks the gap between O.D. and Staples to around 3.7.
Yep. One can understand why companies are fleeing Illinois.
High taxes and probably the most corrupt government bodies in the country.
or you could lose your sas. Look at the charts and you will see a couple of other huge spikes over the years - and then it crashed back to Earth. This looks like another round of boiler room bull shti.
For that matter - where are the 2.69 O.D. shares that were given to O.M. shareholders for the merger?
I am disappointed. I thought this thing would be up more than this by now. I doubt that it will be anywhere near $6 by the end of the year. It was just a few cents shy of hitting my sell the last time up. I even remembered to set the sale. That's a first for me with this company. I usually forget to set the sale. This time I didn't, but it didn't quite make it. :(
I don't own a boatload, but I do have a few thousand shares. :) I was all in with other things when the stock bottomed out at around $1.50 and have been kicking myself since then for not taking loses elsewhere and dumping it all into O.D. Of course, it is as they say, hindsight is 20/20. I never could see too good. :) I have just been holding on to what I have for the past few years wondering where it was going to go. I get a little excited on here every now and then when management pssisse me off. HAHAHA
All of my buys and sells go through Ameritrade. Cheap and efficient - most of the time. Their system cost me over $20,000 one day though back around 2002. I am glad that I am not in the same city as one of their offices or you would have been reading about it on the news. :p
It always amazes me how these places jump on the bandwagon AFTER a stock has already risen a hundred percent. If they had been telling people to get in at around a buck fifty, there would be some very happy people out there right now. Myself: I'm way in the black and getting that greedy feeling again. HAHAHA :)
It came close yesterday. I still have my sell order in. I will probably do something stupid and raise it. I have been doing this for years now. Opportunities come along and I am either busy and forget, or get it in my head that it is BOUND to head higher THIS time. hahaha. Who knows, it might finally be on its way up.
My personal thought on the matter would be that no dividend will be paid until all the dust settles and the company starts actually making money (none of this creative bookkeeping and one-time this or that). Dividends are one thing that Office Max shareholders had over Office Depot holders. Of course, O.M. made money more often than O.D.
I have been thinking in the range of $12-$13.
Who knows? If the company gets its act together, it could start shadowing Stables.
Two strikes against you. You are not only eat up with this company, you are a bible thumper. You have my condolences. You keep on doing whatever it is you think you are doing, and I will just put you on ignore. You have a good day.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Dude, if you dislike this company so much, why are you lurking around on this board? If you own shares, sell them for God's sake, an move on.
That sounds good, but you have to take into consideration the hundreds of millions of dollars they are expected to spend on consolidation. Even with the money saved with the merger of the two companies, I think it is going to be hard for them to make a profit for a few years. I'm still hanging in there. I had a sell order in this time around when it started going up. Just missed it. :p
