additionally, I asked the agfeed v blitz folks if there could be additional payment from this case and here is what they said. definitely not a promise of any sort.
It is possible there will be another distribution in 6 months to a year. A supplemental award, if any, would be smaller than your initial award and would be your pro rata share of any funds remaining from unclaimed initial awards.
first - definitely follow the advice of others on how recognized loss is calculated.
second - the below snippet is taken from an email directly to me, pertaining to my case, where I had 8700 shares with a recognized loss of 78 cents a share. I guess it is possible that the calculation they mention below will not be exactly the same depending on the recognized loss for each person.
hope this helps
The amount of the distribution you received represents your pro rata share of the distribution, which is approximately 37% of your calculated Recognized Loss. Please note that your Recognized Loss is NOT the same as your Market Loss.
1 - for this one I did receive 14cents a share, I just didn't know if it was for all shares. apparently so!
2 - for this, I did fill out the paperwork myself and, since only 3 transactions, feels pretty straightforward. given what I have listed above, i think it is 78 cents a share for the first two purchases and 0 for the last purchase. I have a thread going with the agfeed v blitz people but if you have any more advice, ill gladly take it.
1 - for the 14 cent payment, would/should that have applied to all shares held regardless on purchase date? in my case, I did buy some share in 2012, which I know are excluded from the class action for recognized loss, but seem to have counted for this payment.
2 - for the recognized loss, if we exclude the 2012 purchase I had, then I only have two purchases, both in 2010 and both held through the freezing of the stock (I did "liquidate" but it was in November of 2014).
below are the details.
2a - wouldn't these both come to 78 cents a share?
2b - would that the be the amount I should expect to receive?
2c - I know you said it is too late to correct errors, if any. I do have an email going with the securities litigation folks, but do you recommend another course?
thanks in advance.
hi all...I tried to work through this and am super confused.
here are my purchases.
PURCHASE DATE COMPANY SHARES PURCHASE PRICE PURCHASE VALUE
5/6/2010 FEED 3,500 $3.5391 12,387.00
8/12/2010 FEED 5,200 $2.3773 12,362.00
12/26/2012 FEED 9,000 $0.2300 2,070.00
I think the 2012 purchase is not eligible for any payout, correct?
for the other two, I think they would both get 78 cents per share?? if so, that is 8,700 shares at 78 cents per or $6,786.
so far I have received two payments.
one in june that was $2,478. I assumed this was for all 17,700 shares, because it came, neatly, to 14 cents per share.
the other was just yesterday and was for $2,548.97. that comes to 14.4 cents if we are talking about the full 17,700 shares OR to ~29.3 cents if only about the first two lots (8,700 shares total)
ah, so confused!
hi all - nice to see us finally get something.
so far, I have received 2 payments that came to about 14 cents a share each.
I had bought 8,700 shares in 2010 and 9,000 more in 2012.
is there a formula to check the math and...
do we expect more payments?
thanks in advance and good luck to all
thanks. sounds like you may be holding? id imagine the date of purchase would determine whether you could partake in class action? in other words, could sell today and still partake?
please explain how you can be positive still. come on man.
i took the loss but wouldn't mind recovering some funds even if I have to pay tax. any word on claim info yet??
and, as a long down 88%, the apparently misguided optimism is infuriating. unless you are right and soon at that.

is this really new news?
and is it good or bad overall? to my untrained eyes, it seems more good than bad?
