  • Want to put my toe in the water and watch the process to deliver the 6,000 shares to me. Fidelity will contact transfer agent. Don't how quick to deliver the shares. Cost basis is $24,000 plus $5,300 for the warrants. Works out to $4.88 per share.........less than open market of $7.09. Still long and strong but frustrated.

  • I could care less. It hurts us in no way unless the company were to continue to issue shares which I don't think they need to do. The reverse split would very much limit the supply of stock.

  • If so then Sanofi will announce trials soon. This will be a game changer for MNKD SNF will extend the patent. Could this be what AL was starting to say before Matt shut him up??

    You bet

  • Don't you see what is happening here. The partnership is only about Afrezza. I believe the "process" what Al was alluding to is that the technology for Technospere and the Dtreamboat will be transferred to Mannkind Technologies. We will be issued shares. Medtronic will manufacture the dreamboat under a licensing agreement with Mannkind Technologies with payments to the company.. The partnership will purchase manufactured Dreamboat devices from Medtronics. Mannkind Technologies will also receive a license payment from the partnership for use of the technospere technology. . Mannkind Tecnhologies gets two revenue streams...........one from Medtronics and one from the partnership to license technospere. Mannkind Corp get profts from the sale of Afrezza. Simple of you think about. Mark this post.

I never thought the stock action this week was possible. I knew the stock would be dead money until sales came in but I thought we would be at a much higher level. I just cannot believe it. I do not understand why the company remains silent while the stock slip from 11.00 to 6.86 per shares. Most companies would issue a statement that says, for example, we know of no reason for the significant decline in the stock. The insiders issue an obscene amount of stock options and salaries to themselves while the retail shareholders suffer. Was planning on attending to attend the annual shareholders meeting in California in May 15 to give management kudos. Now, I am planning on attending to vent and give them hell.

Forty percent of Americans born from 2000 to 2011 will develop diabetes, double the risk of those born a decade earlier, signaling a sharp increase in the disease’s prevalence, researchers found.

Doctors are diagnosing more patients who are living longer with their diabetes, according to a study published today in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology. As the number of patients increases, so will the burden on the U.S. health-care system, said Edward Gregg, the study’s lead author and an epidemiologist at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“That’s a very real statistic not only for the public but also for the people treating and trying to prevent diabetes,” Gregg said. “I hope this will be a stimulus really to find ways to prevent diabetes in the first place and reduce incidence.”

The risk is even higher for minorities. More than half of all Hispanics and non-Hispanic black women born from 2000 to 2011 will develop diabetes in their lifetime, the study found. For black men, the lifetime risk is 45 percent.

These groups have faced higher rates of diabetes for years. “Fortunately the same approaches that can reduce diabetes in low-risk populations, like non-Hispanic whites, can work in high-risk populations,” Gregg said in a telephone interview.

More than 29 million people in the U.S. have diabetes, according to the latest data from the CDC. Diabetics can’t produce insulin to convert food into energy or their bodies don’t use insulin properly. The majority have Type 2, which typically develops in adults and is linked to a sedentary lifestyle.

    Rising Costs

The cost to treat diabetes rose 41 percent for the U.S. health-care system to more than $245 billion in 2012 from 2007, according to the American Diabetes Association.

The Lancet study examined data from 600,000 adults from 1985 to 2011. The risk of developing diabetes has grown, doubling for U.S. men. Men born from 1985 to 1999 had a 21 percent chance of getting the disease, and women

  • All they would have to say is that we know of no information or event causing the decline. They could say something...........anything

  • It quite obvious we are trapped in a dead stock for at least a year until sales of the drug begin to come in. So you can whine, stay, sell, buy at a later time, or whatever. But the truth is could we not all see this coming? We all got caught up into the emotion of the situation. All of us DID NOT NEED TO TAKE THE RISK OF FDA DENIAL OR FAILURE TO FIND A PARTNER. We could have rode out the risk and still bought the stock in the present 8's or probably soon to come 7's. Yes I have made a lot of money............but I have not as of yet been compensated for the substantial risk I and others took. There is no way to refute this cause its true.
