Yeah, BTF, that is exactly what I've been saying. Just assuming NBA 2K15, WWE 2K15, GTA V for next gen consoles, and DLC for all those titles, that is almost a full slate of products right there. They will probably only add one or two more titles on top of that.
In fact, I don't think they really need any NEW titles . . . they could probably get by with rereleasing several older products with upgraded textures on the Xbox One and PS4. An upgraded Bioshock Infinite for the new consoles would sell at a reduced price . . . perhaps full price with all DLC. An 1080P Red Dead Redemption with all the DLC could sell at full price (It never had a PC release so an upgraded version would have some demand). A rereleased Borderlands 2 with all the DLC could sell well. Doing this could give the studios working on new games to make them really great.
I'd still really love for them to get the NFL license though. Damn NFL are jerks . . . they should license to both 2K Sports and EA and let the two compete.
Well, I've read the messageboards with the WWE fans. They are tired of the Yukes games. The engine is old and the graphics are terrible. A lot of people stop buying when you just get the same game each year with a new coat of paint. Madden has this issue . . . sales of Madden have been down because it has been stagnant. NHL too. NBA 2Kn gets the complaint as well but at least they have been improving graphics and adding new features. It seems that if there is not competition, a game stagnates. Without NFL 2Kn, Madden has stagnated. Without NHL 2Kn, EA's NHL has stagnated. I think the WWE has had that issue as well.
TTWO is still killing it on Amazon. GTA V has been cut down to $39.99 though. That seems a bit premature but perhaps they just want to get as many copies out there as possible in order to get more GTA Online players. They had better have a strategy for transferring people from GTA Online on xbox360 & PS3 to Xbone and PS4. But I'm sure they do. NBA 2K14 is doing great. WWE 2K14 is doing alright. Note that NBA 2K14 and WWE 2K14 do have DLC stuff that can be purchased to get more revenue.
Contact Rockstar . . . they'll probably let you mail in your disc for a new one. At most a few bucks for a replacement.
TellTale is a small developer that mostly makes point & click adventure games. They had a big hit with last year's Walking Dead P&C adventure. PC gamers like them as a maker of little light-weight games. But ultimately, it is small-time stuff generally sold at a low price. 2K probably makes very little on the deal but I hope the game is a success and boosts the Borderlands brand. And it is nice to know that 2K obviously continues to have some rights in the Borderlands IP since Borderlands is made by an outside developer (Gearbox).
Meh. It could keep going down. It is winter, regulations are in flux, Europe is slowing on solar PV, etc. I love the products but I don't know if there are catalysts right now.
Well COD: Ghosts for xbox 360 is beating it right now but GTA V is continuing to sell like crazy. And NBA 2K14 is certainly doing great. And NBA 2K14 should continue doing great as long as they patch up some bugs. The game looks beautiful but has some issues that need fixing. And WWE 2K14 is doing OK . . . I really think this can be a big franchise if they give it a good reboot instead of just a new coat of paint. I'm disappointed that XCOM:Enemy Within doesn't show up much in sales charts. It is sad to see it not doing better because the game has great reviews . . . I guess the strategy genre has limited appeal. I suspect a lot of its sales are on the PC which are mostly through downloadable systems.
I really hope Rockstar considers a re-release of RDR on the PS4 and XBone. Upgraded textures and resolutions could nab a lot of sales if they price it at $39.99. And since they never released a PC version, this would be the only way you could get an improved version. Squeenix is doing a shameless cash-grab by releasing Tomb Raider for the PS4 and XBone at $59.99. The game has been available on the 360 and PS3 for $14.99 and the PC version which can be played at higher resolutions than the upcoming re-release has been available for as low as $9.99.
Overall Game of the Year (GOTY): GTA V
Best Shooter: Bioshock Infinite
Best Sports Game: NBA 2K14
Best Soundtrack: GTA V
Best Song: Bioshock Infinite
I hope they release Bioshock Infinite for the PS4 and Xbone. I'd also like to see RDR for the PS4 and Xbone . . . what an easy way to rake in some bucks. Just upgrade the textures & resolutions.
Yeah, I haven't finished yet but I was playing tonight. The game is really great. I look forward to buying it on the PS4.
If GTA is worth a billion then the company currently has a negative valuation due to the cash on hand.
Well, it may go up whether management announces news or not. Everyone can see the game sales at Amazon, the NPD sales charts, the sales of PS4s, the sales of Xbones, the online activity reports, etc.
Oh . . . speaking of that latter . . .

GTA V continues to sell like crazy. NBA 2K14 is selling very strong. WWE 2K14 is weaker than I'd like but I hope they are working on a new engine to reboot the franchise.
I like the fact that you are thinking big. But EA is just not worth its valuation. Right now, their name is mudd with gamers. They got a 'worst company' award two years in a row and I think they are gonna have a three-peat. Earlier this year, they completely alienated gamers with a malfunctioning SimCity with DRM that stopped people from playing, broken AI, and lost saved games. Then they shipped that abortion known as NBA Live . . . fortunately, most gamers knew enough to avoid that steaming pile of feces. And now Battlefield 4 is falling apart with lots of crashes.
If anything, EA should be looking to use their over-valued stock as a way to buy TTWO in order to strengthen their product line.
The need to delay some products if they are not ready. They are really alienating some customers right now. SimCity earlier this year was a PR disaster. Battlefield 4 got some great reviews but they are now getting a big backlash because of online problems and frequent crashes. Now they are selling DLC before they even have the game working reliably and people are getting mad. NBA Live . . . holy #$%$. Why did they even ship that? You don't get a second chance to make a first impression . . . they may have lost the basketball genre for the PS4 and Xbox One console generation. But there is some good news . . . FIFA is great. Madden is OK . . . but they are resting on their laurels a bit since they hold a monopoly on the license.
EA better be careful because there might be a backlash against them with so many products just failing to work properly.
Yeah, TTWO tends to reveal nothing interesting at these dog & pony shows. Just the same old generic speak. But "a dog with fleas"? C'mon, I don't know many dogs with $1Billion in cash.
Then the Fed will keep buying bonds. Yeah, that may sound crazy to many . . . but deflation is even worse.
