Scottrade offers free trading for Focus Morningstar Funds. Im not sure how long they have been doing that, but Im sure it has increased the volume of trading.
I think this is the best Focus Morningstar fund for 2011 gains.
I day trade and swing trade. AAPL is a good stock for both of these, in my experience. If you day trade, do margin with min. $10k. You can trade a big stock like this with 100k off and on and not affect the price at all. It is really incredible to think aobut he magnitude of the markets every single day. Anyway, keep your limit orders up all the time (buy and sell) and take advantage of down times like now to go full in, and you can rarely be too patient before buying. Good luck.
I have two strategies with SYX. The first is to buy now before earnings leaks. I do think they will be good. The second is to wait until management is late on releasing earnings and pick up the resulting cheap shares. Either way I think I can get some shares below 7. Thoughts?
Wow, thanks for the earnings news! Within a month isnt bad. most of us have been waiting many months, so waiting 1 more at most isn't bad. Plus there is a possiblity of seeing 2 quarters at once. That would be a pop in the price, no doubt.
I think SYX will release their earnings when most other companies do in the next two weeks. It would be extremely impressive if they release both 4q and 1q together, but at the least I think we will see 4q soon.
Getting the earnings 1q late isnt too bad, at least for Systemax.
S0 there is a press announcement scheduled for tomorrow to introduce a new iPod? Or is it actually going on sale tomorrow?
Interesting rumor, thanks.
The NASDAQ has hurt terribly since late last week, for various reasons. AAPL cant stay ahead of dropping market without a constant string of good news.
Once the market rises, you will see the big Apple ride the wave and more! Compare the stock price with the market price, and you will see this also.
" Although legal digital downloads tripled last year to $1.1bn, and account for about 6 per cent of the industry's revenues, they have still failed to offset the continued decline in sales of CDs and the ravages of piracy.
Pricing has been a matter of contention in the fledgling digital market. Under an agreement with Apple, whose iTunes store controls 80 per cent of the online music market, customers are charged 99 cents per track. Of that amount, record companies pocket about two-thirds."
Therefore itunes is about 1/20th of the entire music industry sales! That is huge. Unfortunetly the record companies get nearly all the profit! Apple has great potential here!
I never had rebate problems. I probably did on-rebates 6 times. This last time I requested a paypal deposit, so we will see how that goes.
If tigerdirect wants to offer the best deals, they will have to continue to offer rebates and hopefully get better at it also.
Anyway, any projections on when we will see 4Q? Will they announce it beforehand, or just suprise everyone? One of their competitors just released good earnings: NSIT
I think Siri will make it even by the end of the year, or maybe into positive for earnings. The company reitered this as an acheivable goal. However they will still remain in a loss, now estimated at .4 EPS for all of '06. I think the market is still doubtful of this.
The company needs to convince us or else the stock goes nowhere..
