So who did Boies sue & lose to?
Paradigm bought & successfully licensed patent #B1 5,043,736 to a number of clients
Please show us anything that has to do with Boies being involved with Paradigm going Chapter 11
Hope you hear from Boies very soon
Yes Sybil explained why VRNG can't ask SCOTUS for a GVR (wish she had enlightened Boies)
& now finding that free public documents are copyrighted is amazing.
He truly is brilliant
ST's main income comes from GOOG. Pretty clear GOOG is none too happy with vrng24's website. The documents exposed link GOOG to assisting ZTE.
Companies often wait till Friday to release neg news. Was it that GOOG's law firm King & Spaulding withdrawing from representing ZTE. Conflict in interest? just civil? criminal?
Something sure got GOOG lathered up.
Lot's of possible reasons. None of them good for ZTE
1. They were fired, endless possible reasons.
2. They are also GOOG's law firm. Any SEC or DOJ investigation could lead to a conflict with clients.
3. They don't want to be sanctioned, a very real possibility. They are officers of the court & have a standard of obligation that may be compromised.
4. Most likely of all is that Clifford Chance wants them gone to simplify settlement. I'm sure CC would love to put everything on hold & negotiate but hopefully VRNG keeps the heat on.
I'm guessing 6 weeks for agreement.
Marsh (PLUG) recently gave a interview in GasWorld. He credits L'Air Liquid & FiveT Capital for providing the life line that saved PLUG from BK. L'Air is a French multi-billion-national company that produces hydrogen, among many other things. FiveT is Swiss & started by Roth (sits on bod of both GEVO & PLUG). Marsh has talked of European expansion.
Not sure what the plan is. Either L'Air or FiveT have the capital to do many things. Neither will throw money down a toilet. There is a list both GEVO & PLUG need accomplished, I suspect. GEVO stays on track & there will likely be a GEVO/PLUG merger/buyout & eventually a buyout by L'Air.
definitely algos but i'm guessing covering or accumulation.
they're always going to bring it back down to pull the 'ask' with it. why they use algos
if it's accumulation, we may see the resistance at .81 taken out soon & then we are in true breakout for any news. staying above 200ma & breaking resistance will bring in all the TA traders
short interest shrinking this far from a SCOTUS ruling shows that this movement is all about the ZTE NYC case
Butler has already made assessments from ZTE perspective. He is now very knowledgeable of what risks ZTE faces, some which are likely unknown to VRNG.
He appears to have expertise in quite a few fields.
Clearly the first step to defend any SEC or DOJ problems is to make this case go away.
ZTE just got slapped badly in a Texas patent case. Wake up call.
Butler is here to make best/worse case assessment to the ZTE Big Dogs & make recommendations.
ZTE is going to make the decision & if they decide to settle; Butler will be the guy to do it.
Clifford & Chance is nowhere the firm it once was. They are a global London based firm that has offices in Hong Kong. Butler is a top notch attorney & both he & Alexander specialize in Dispute Resolution.
By late Oct/ early Nov SCOTUS should respond to the GOOG case.
Butler surely realizes a settlement before a possible SCOTUS GVR will be in ZTE's best interest.
There should be a serious offer from ZTE in the next 4-6 weeks
i'd be surprised if this doesn't have a confidentiality agreement.
A American jury may well go over a $B.
ZTE will want to save face & settle as a license.
I'm guessing $300M over 5 years.
I'd guess a settlement announcement would bounce us between $4 & 5, till the market figures out the numbers.
Looking at the TA is interesting. We are at the first resistance (.71) & the 200ma. There is resistance at .81.
After that it's all BREAK OUT. NOTHING to the 3's.
Short interest has been covering. If indeed ZTE & GOOG have been manipulating this stock; they may stand down as scrutiny is upon them.
Manipulators react to breaking the 200ma, so next week may be pivotal. If we break .81 resistance we should gap up considerably.
Jeff Butler (Partner) & John Alexander from the once great law firm Clifford Chance have filed as attorneys for ZTE.
Guess somebody finally woke up in China & realized they are in real trouble.
These 2 new legal eagles specialize in litigation & DISPUTE RESOLTION.
Most likely they are to assess the damage & give the ZTE top dogs their options.
Clearly GOOG has involvement, ZTE may have destroyed evidence & the possibility of stock manipulation.
I think the recent spike is when word Clifford Chance entered the game. Next week should be great.
I'm sure it's going to get sales if it's getting local press.
I use premium in my vehicle & have a HD Sportster that's had performance work on it. I'd try it in both. But as I trade in vehicles before the warranty expires, it'd have to be noticeable for me to pump 20 gal a week at a xtra cost.
My 06 Sporty is sticking around & I wouldn't have a problem putting the best fuel in that.
GEVO already signed a letter of intent (usually meaningless) for Porta (Argentina) to make isobutanol.
Licensing is the way to go.
#1 thing that will work for this company is a PLUG deal.
I don't know what the patent strength is after the Butamax assault, but partnering up with a patent troll would relieve the litigation costs & keep the thieves away.
GEVO's value is in it's patents. I have no idea what that value is. Perhaps 100's of $M.
Trouble is defending them & then capitalizing on them.
After the R/S there is plenty of treasury shares. I'm guessing Marsh & Roth (PLUG) are on GEVO's BOD to buy some of those shares, perhaps a controlling interest. Keep Gruber on BOD & as CTO or CSO. Maybe Gruber is to the point of accepting a new CEO.
goog 'A far superior alternative to ethanol trade only today'
“Right now we are just beginning to ramp up sales,” Gruber says. “We have to build more capacity. We want to hear feedback from consumers once they use this fuel. What I expect is that people will like it a lot because it solves problems — the problems of sputtering, fouling, water separation and corrosion, to name a few. We started making biobutanol about 18 months ago in large quantities. We are still working out the full-scale production technology.”
Gevo is planning to launch a pilot program with a boatyard or marina to sell biobutanol-blend gasoline at its fuel dock, Gruber says, adding that the cost of biobutanol-blend gas would be competitive with ethanol-blend gas.
Gevo has already secured the necessary testing and regulatory approvals to begin selling gasoline that is 16.1 percent biobutanol in off-road locations, so “there’s no reason the fuel cannot be made available right away in the marine environment,” Gruber says.
The company also has approval to sell gas with 12.5 percent biobutanol for on-road applications, and getting approval for a 16.1 percent blend at gas stations shouldn’t be a problem, either, Gruber says.
The marine industry is an attractive market for a small company such as Gevo, Gruber says. “If you are a start-up company and trying to compete against the 14-billion-gallon ethanol market, you have to find ways to get your foot in the door, and the marine market is a great way for us to start integrating biobutanol into the market.”
India is pretty fickle with patents, they have a bad rap. They also are now a world player & seem to be more inclined to play by the 'rules'.
Andy Marsh from PLUG seems like a pretty sharp guy. Apparently they held up their end of a play with L'Air Liquide & swapped stock for 100% of Hypulsion. It looks like in 2016 PLUG will add 2 AIQUY guys to BOD.
Now you have 2 PLUG BOD (Marsh/Roth) on GEVO BOD.
GEVO deal execution has been poor.
Something is going to happen with PLUG, possibly with Hypulsion.
Hopefully GEVO can get a $ relationship with Praj, as a bonus & isn't just a educator.
& short interest dropped by almost 2.5M shares
so looks like shortie has a eye on the ZTE NYC case also
ZTE released emails with GOOG by mistake, for now they are redacted.
I'd guess that vrng will sue everybody they can, if they have indeed been wronged.
Wouldn't be surprised them going after the PR firms & individual employees, if they stepped over the line.
Have to wonder if this will have GOOG re-thing a offer to keep this from becoming a new lawsuit?
