Much of the bad news over the last few years seems to involve the Maintenance of the aircraft. A simple tickler system (automated of course) would notify management of these basic problems.

Seems to me like HQ needs to evaluate the maintenance department, beef it up where necessary and/or make personnel changes also where necessary.

Rumblings in my district by how much Block is demanding without giving anything back - no more appreciation dinner at season end - and I over $ 100,000 a year in revenues for Block. Block no longer respects or cares about its personnel in the field. They do not listen to us. They should be able to crush the competition but can't do it due to incompetent managers at all levels.

Just because someone can do taxes does not mean they will be able to manage a 3 ring circus with 2 rings missing.

If priced like the Key West to The Dry Tortugas - cost is the same as an airline seat for a several run each direction.

Would make a nice stop for a cruise line

That first flight was flown by Pan American Airlines and their international headquarters st time is stil there and is now a restaurant. Great place to eat in the courtyard ~12 midnight under the stars - and yes, I have done it with dates.

The first international flight in the U.S. was flown between Key West and Havana. Too bad LUV left Key West.

Not many airlines (4 - Delta, US Air, Bear Air and Elite) operate from Melbourne BUT it does have an international flight hall, is only 45 miles from Orlando and right on the Atlantic Ocean. IN fact, it is listed as Melbourne International Airport.

Just saying it is a nice facility, great parking and available.

While I was in Atlanta changing flights on 1/06/2015, there was a Southwest Airlines employee trying to get people to sign up for the Chase credit card frequent flyer account. They mentioned free flights to various places including Hawaii.

I told them I had not seen anything in the news about Southwest flying to Hawaii. The employee stated an announcement would be coming in 2015.

Southwest, any truth to this or is your employee in error?

LUV should preliminary plan for flights to Cuba. If fully opened, Cuba will be a huge market from S.E. Florida. LUV is constrained at FLL. MCO is a nightmare due to the number of pax now. LUV can expand at PBI and should at least add the PBI-TPA flight back so more pax can connect easier to other destinations.

LUV should look at expanding into Homestea and Melbourne, FL.. While Miami would be nice, it is a strong an American hub . While LUV could take them on, why do that when an airport (Homestead) is nearby that has no one flying out of it and Melbourne is near enough to Orlando to draw pax from there?

LUV can expand to Cuba and the caribbean, central and south america easily from Melbourne, PBI and Homestead
