Your pointing to warming is a pretty isolated event in the history of our planet, so I wouldn't go there. Now, if you're trying to control people and what they do, it's an excellent scare tactit and a big money-maker.
Now, most of us are for ecologically sound changes in human behaviour, like, say, keeping that fool in the WH out of the Air Forces One a bit more....out of the exhaust-producing cavalcade in cities where he ties up traffice for hours getting a donut and a photo-op.
But this business of inventing something new to tax and control for Al Gore's benefit, now the correlation is kinda overwhelming there, also. :)
