Looks to me more like the shorts stay in charge through much of the summer. But, your conclusion that CBI is likely to rebound thereafter sounds about right.
The question as always is when, and how far down shorts can drive this stock in the interim. We could easily see the mid $40s if the S&P leads even a modest correction. JMHO.
“Accounting standards for infrastructure projects also tend to be vague, allowing for something like this to happen.”
Bloomberg business reports that Toshiba has delayed report due to accounting errors, adding uncertainty to CBI numbers which were questioned a few months back.
buy the dips unless you think there are more roaches here.

You have it bass ackwards as in Ackman. no one of any substance cares about what has happened over the last few months, except short time horizon children.
LOL, right! does that include his JC Penny move? How is he doing compared to Ichan over the last 10 years? or are you just talking about the last 15 minus? ON CNBC, Ackman and Ichan agreed on something: Ichan is a great investor and Ackman is not!
IMO, Ackman is sleaze, and Herbalife is exhibit # 370!
Yes it might go down that far, on its way to $1000. But this might be the low. Three times since i have owned this stock, it has lost half of its market cap, only to reemerge to new highs. China is a long term growth story for the next decade, at least; Baidu is the best way to participate in that growth; BIDU has a shareholder friendly, capable, honorable CEO.
Baidu is my biggest winner since my purchase in 2008, and i also own PCLN and AAPL.
thereafter charging back to new highs!
The longer term position is still in place.
Baidu is easily the best way to participate in long term China growth. Its strategic model remains in tact, the company is innovative, well managed by a brilliant, honorable, shareholder friendly CEO.
Those who believe the Chinese economy will continue to outperform over the next 20 years would be wise not to pass up this buying opportunity.
ust a little reminder to longs that even after the FTC exonerates Herbalife and settles for some relatively minor process changes and a modest fine, and no one in their right mind believes that there is any other possible outcome, still Ackman and his Axis of Darkness and Destruction will not give up.
He will continue to attack the HLF brand with all of his corrupt power with PR initiatives, court challenges, and all manner of serruptitious infiltration that will lead to "new" evidences of Herbalife's alleged misconduct deemed by these monsters as justification for more adverse legal action.
So know that Ackman won't go away until long after it is obvious to the mainstream that his evil empire is in big trouble. In words of the legendary philosopher Yogi Berra: "Even Napoleon met his Watergate."
