not really familiar with ellie golding so i just went to youtube and listened to a couple of her "hits' -- one of which i did recognize.... very poppy but she does have a unique voice.... this will be interesting to follow and give a listen to.. as will the entire soundtrack
"love the themed comment, doc! "
thanks for noticing... getting a bit creative on these message boards is something i do from time to time...
makes for more interesting reading than the typical bs posts we typically see
the typical trader posting here would not haveeven realized what i was doing
....just finished reading the forbes article that Divergent need only reach Hit level to be a success.... it need not reach Blockbuster levels.... it does not need to reach HG levels
i say this is no time for abnegation
the early ticket sales as noted by another poster nevertheless do bode well
i for one am thinking blockbuster
the story is solid
the buzz is getting buzzier and for lack of a better word... is now at the dauntless level
the movie looks quite appealing
billboards are featuring the movie now
the erudite move is to go long
in all candor
with amity for all longs
just watched the show last night for the first time (with my 20something daughter). My daughter tells me it is a great show and that all of her friends watch it. Honestly, I was underwhelmed being an old timer but hey, Lionsgate is doing something right to appeal to the 20something demographic.
HUGE MOVE in the last two days Divergent is up $17 on the HSX stock exchange....
other than the buzz not sure what is really new that created the spike... nice move though and whatever it was seems to have had an impact on LGF as well..
Divergent is up 6 bucks in one day on the HSX stock exchange to a new high...
would love to see LGF's stock price follow suit....
seems as though the buzz is building
best to all longs,
well...... as i was saying..... it would not be the earnings but the forecast that matters...
and the forecast was indeed not good.... tomorrow will be ugly as is the After Hours but eventually Deck will regain its footing so to speak...when that will be who knows....
wish i could say i insulated myself from this but alas... i did not....
hurting with all the other longs,
...says channel checks showed strong sales both during the holiday season and afterwards.... company benefiting from the cold weather
tic toc tic toc tic toc
good luck shorty...
best to all longs (except indian)
...look making t-shirts available on their website which they already provide to their "athletes" is not a huge investment ---- plus it would not be dead inventory as folks such as yours truly would have bought a few to wear at 5k races and provide free advertising for the product....
i do not claim to be a marketing genius.... but this is just fundamental and the failures here are glaring
there was a segment on CNBC today.... debating NKE vs UA....
UA came out on top though the commentators also like NKE....
one of the more interesting points that one of them made is that UA makes 39 percent of their sales from their web presence....
i would hope the business model would be to sell quality running shoes and quality everything that goes along with that....
cases in point:
there are actually HOKA athletes which the site has pictures of... they are wearing HOKA t-shirts... let me ask you.... can you actually BUY one of these on the website? NOPE... why not?
every legit running shoe company sells socks as well... can you find any HOKA socks on that website? NOPE... why not?
it is as if DECK does not want HOKA to be a success....
