Well, I think there are a few explanations.
1) Shorts looking to destroy the stock (the recent bashing group) and also profit from it.
2) Typically, option volume will go up significantly when there's a lot of stock volume and/or volatility.
OK, so we have a good news / bad news situation.
Good news: we're up about $.70 or 1.2% in about 5 minutes.
Bad news: we're down $2.30+ in 4 hours.
Holy smokes folks, down 2.7% on an upgrade and a no-substance bash. You guys read about that HFT hedge fund looking to go public? One day of losses in 5 years. Yeah, that makes sense.
Just 30 cents of stops hit to 61.70. HFTs hunting for stops is the only explanation for this absurd negative price movement.
It's about 12 cents above the LOD now.. which is, currently, a target careening down. ($62.06 LOD I believe?)
Agreed that the weakness is visible. Lots of stops constantly just below bid price.
However -- keep it to one thread, short stuff -- this isn't your personal Twitter page!
