Well, it must have been pretty good if they appeased you. Yes, I remember that company it was based in Boca Raton, if I remember and they were like #2 in the rehab home market with their app. Magic sold it for a good price as they did a couple of other apps I don't know they also owned an app for Menzies at Heathrow for logistics.

I can't believe that. It should be on the website tomorrow. He didn't want to have cc's until he had analyst's coverage and supposedly they do.

Did any one listen to it? And if so, sharing would be caring.
    TIA

You really could be on to something here about management.

In Jan, 11 pps was $9, GB issued secondary shortly thereafter and stock eventually went down to $4, again in Jan 14, three years later, stock got to $8.60's and again, shortly thereafter another secondary. Are we going to $4 again? What did Santaya say about history and those who don't learn. We will only have ourselves to blame, wouldn't possibly blame this management , would we?

  • agnmills by agnmills Sep 19, 2014 5:42 AM Flag

$9.31 was the pps on that day, then the secondary at $6.60 or so, and how do you think those suckers feel, they put in some big bucks, to say nothing of the aggreived who paid $8.60 a few months ago. I don't think GB will be able to convince either one of those group of "Investors" to buy anything from him again. Forget us poor miserable and long-suffering small timers. Some small consolation that these mavens got hood winked for even more than us.

It's as if know one else in the world knows that they are negotiating to sell the company at $10.00, the stock doesn't care.

    Clown,

I do love this phrase in today's pr release in addition to a new area, that of their focus, it's the first time I have seen them use that phrase about focus:
Sapiens International Corporation, (NASDAQ and TASE: SPNS), a leading global provider of software solutions for the retirement services and insurance industries, with an emerging focus on the broader financial services sector,

Well Hello Clown, shalom from over here
In reality there is really no reason for the SPNS to be at this high a pe, There Q's have been less than stellar and they don't even think there will be any significant improvement until next year if then. I mean who the hell wants to by a stock that is not growing their eps? All this bs about r & d to prepare for what? And the secondary as MGIC"s, I figured there was something they wanted to buy. Or does GB just like cash and pps dilution??

    CEO comments make no sense

Obviously, GB is being super conservative, however, if you read between the lines, he has referred, a couple of times, to this being a good year. He was a CFO and now is has proven to be a capable CEO. He has the company now positioned for growth. So, in MGIC we have capable management, growing over 20% annual, with a substantial cash, and a 3% divi, trading at a 14 pe. I think it is reasonable, that if the 20+% continues, the pe will expand and we will be $10-12 by end of next year at latest.

"Your surprised this needs to be spelled out." Really? I am glad you did because no one here, but you, thinks that. What is common knowledge is that MGIC is profitable and has ample cash for the past 20 years to cover day-to-day expenses. Where did you possibly get the idea that this secondary was to cover those expenses?

Agree about your thoughts concerning analyst's. The major thing is that they should get us cc;s and a chance to talk to GB. All good.

If the cup of the handle fills up and turns over and puts out the candles, then what? Go tell henny-penny the sky is falling? Yes, it's okay to poke fun at the chartists, but wait until the bs argot that the analyst's use takes hold as soon as GB starts holding cc's again. Now, that we have coverage (although disappointing) the cc's will start and then all their bs slang, "can you color those numbers", "can you provide us with visibility" of next years figures, etc, etc, Can hardly wait for them and their bs argot.

    Fuj,

Again, thanks, I see SPNS with much less angst in that light now.

ot, I have developed a friendship w a guy in Richland and should be trucking (well RV'ing actually) up that way in July. Me remembers eastern WA, right?

Au contraire, it has the divi has absolutely nothing to do with the Polish company. And it's not about conspiracies and/or BOD's looking to screw shareholders. It's quite the opposite the Israeli mentality when it comes to stocks that have money is to pay a dividend. And even though Asseco does have a 50% + interest, there are still plenty of Israeli shareholders.

It's way over my head, didn't FORTY get a $200 ml line, which made no sense at the time. And to my limited knowledge, they didn't participate in the SPNS secondary, or did they? We have suffered here for so long, that I for one, am so glad for all this action, either some be a brewing or knowing GB there is some grand scheme happening. All I know is that having seen both S ad M at $1 and where we are today, they both are finally, rewarding us for keeping the faith for so long.

That explains your dislike, but I would strongly suggest buying here at the 8.50 level all you can a month from now it will be in mid 9's with four analysts recs and you will have you fondest wish a cc with the next Q's results. You should 'bee' happy.

    PAJ,
I have been telling them that it is the same scenario, before the blood suckers were even named I knew it would be Blair, Needham and it will not go lower than 8.50 I didn't buy more SPNS when it went to 6.25 but I certainly stepped in at 8.52 today and will buy more at long as it is 8.50. And watch a week after March 5 all four will put out buy recs and we will have a cc next Q for sure. GB has learned the game and now we all win. He is not just getting $ for SPNS and MGIC he doesn't need as they are both making good money. Something big is going to happen and even if not MGIC eps, finally, is rising and the pps will be back to mid 9 within a few weeks. Any that sells here will not be happy then.

Take a look at the SPNS secondary I am pretty sure it was announced in the same manner. And that was successful in raising all the funds, in fact, it might even have been over-subscribed.

When I invest in a stock, I am almost always, investing in that stocks management. To me owning a stock in a company is having some one else manage the company and in essence by doing so, manage my money. I believe in MGIC management now more than ever. I did doubt GB about two years ago but he has shown me since, that he knows how to run a company and make money. The stock has gone, in what 2 years from 5 to 9. I have my money invested in MGIC because I know he knows what he is doing, if he wants a secondary, than he has a very good reason, if you look at his record over the years at MGIC you will see that.

  • agnmills by agnmills Feb 27, 2014 5:40 PM Flag

A Secondary, Shocking. What an unsurprise as I wrote two days ago, I thought they might wait a week, or so. This is different than last secondary to private investors. They will follow the same route as SPNS. And if that's the case, and I am pretty sure it is, than GB already knows the four players, and the same four will sell the shares and then a week later, all four, will recommend MGIC and VIOLA we will have our first cc, with next eps report, in years. Which is what so many on this board have been wanting. So any one who wanted a cc should not be #$%$ about the secondary.
ALL is well, steady as she goes. MGIC does not need the money, unless they are doing bigger M & A which is good long term. But most of all, Do not panic, do not sell, if will recover nicely and go up from there.
