While it's been suggested that Samsung might use the January Consumer Electronics Show to showcase a new device in the Galaxy line, Samsung has not traditionally held major launch events at CES. According to Naver, though, Samsung will simply tease the Galaxy S5 in mid-January or so, with the phone's official launch set for February. That would coincide with Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where Samsung has had a presence in the past.
As for what the Galaxy S5 might contain, it's been long rumored that the phone will sport a 16-megapixel camera, which is a bit beefier than the Galaxy S4's 13-megapixel camera, but one that matches the 16 megapixels Samsung's Galaxy S4 Zoom device.
Bundled along with that is a rumored new optical image stabilization feature, as well as a Samsung Exynos processor to replace the Qualcomm Snapdragon chip in the Galaxy S4, which is rumored to contain a bump up to eight total cores of processing power versus the aforementioned quad-core Snapdragon chip.
There's also talk that Samsung might switch to an all-metal case instead of its traditional plastic for the Galaxy S5.
I think there are some good trends. The immature small crowd of pumpers do nothing for anyone with the claims of ARMHs imminent demise, and Intel will rule the world nonsense. Saying any price is in the bag is for Charlatans and flimflam men. The future is tough to call. This current rally could well sell off after the news is announced. The wrong words from Intel could spell trouble Oct. 15, or may not.
The mobile benchmarking scene is facing the same pitfalls as the PC experienced
At least that’s what Intel engineers are saying
The truth is important, not just your "truth". i have no problem with the good, why do you have a problem with the bad ?
