    The inevitable has occurred!

    Thanx for your parting words, cap'n. I wasn't kidding ( although I parenthesized a chuckle) about signing on as your first mate, but the decades leaves no choice but to be as soul mates on passing ships in the night. But damn, I forgot, I am cursed with mal de mer! xxxxx

  • they removed the "message board" option from the left hand menu on the summary page. Say your last goodbye because this board is gone, as you will see when you try to log on.

  • We certainly had sufficient warning, but were stubborn with our dreams. Today marks the end of my trading and being at the mercy of unscrupulous CEOs and their abetting boards. The market is more corrupt than any mafia owned casino or even our politicians

    This board will very soon disappear, so I offer my regrets to all who are not short (the pigmy people). I will miss the the colorful posts of saltwaternurse. Cap'n, I want to say to you that you are a very exceptional, bright lady with a successful future awaiting, no matter whatever your pursuit. You have a great flair for creative writing,and I won't be surprised to see a novel with the author's name," NACLH20RN." some day, if I'm still around. Smooth Sailing!

  • Is there any credence to bellweather's statement that all but twenty of the staff have been laid-off ? If so, have you been included and do you still maintain that bankruptcy will not occur?

    Bankruptcy will be filed soon

    Hi,cpa. Yes, the board is balanced with opposite views. On 8/29 a company employee
    (lets call him "A" ) comments that there will be no bankruptcy, implying that he has info that can't be divulged. Today, an ex-employee ( let's call him "B" ) states that bankruptcy will be declared shortly. "

    B" states he was given the "axe" a few weeks ago and therefore may be disgruntled and revengefully posting to hurt the company. "A" might just be happy that he is still employed and is trying to encourage investors to hang on, with the hope that this somehow will pull the company through.

    These two views fail to give us any insight, as both individuals may have their own biased agenda . But most of "B's" statements can't be denied, and that companies in this trading range are more prone to bankruptcy, which has been shown historically

    If indeed, there was a major lay-off this week, I would be curious to know if "A" was affected, and if so what comment he might make as an ex-employee. I believe that all the evidence thus far points toward bankruptcy, but among the ashes there is still a small glowing ember that may with a whiff of oxygen flare to life.

    You may be an ex-employee as claimed in a prior post, but you raise doubts by stating there will be a "big" layoff as there are not enough employees left to justify the word "big". You certainly don't know what you are talking about when you say the company can't make a public statement of bankruptcy without releasing an ER simultaneously. However, the repetitive forward moving of the ER date appears to be deliberate and may serve one of two purposes; negotiations with the DOE or a buy-out prospect that has not solidified on the date anticipated, with the prospect of a later date, or just a stalling technique to stave off what appears to be the inevitable.

    Your description of a relationship in its last throes is very vivid, leaving some scars, but also a learning experience as to whom we are in relationship (no pun intended) to others; lessons many of us have experienced, sometimes without absorption.

    Thanx for the offer of a helmet, but I'm not in denial ( but who wants to be in Egypt today, anyway!). Angry? Yes! This is not the first time I have been caught in a similar situation, and foolish enough to not have learned from past experiences.

    Perhaps I persist so much with a strong compulsion to protect my turf. A book I read decades ago about two Jewish brothers who are MDs living in a
    neighborhood that deteriorated to a Black ghetto in which they often became robbery victims despite compassionate treatment to their patients whom often couldn't afford to pay for their services. With each intrusion, they would often exclaim," The bstrds won't let you live!" I'm not paranoid, but just fed up with all the corruption that so many are getting away with at the expense of innocent individuals.

    Hi, cap'n! Your Dad's fable is appropriate as it speaks of "squirrelly behavior". Perhap's the "squirrel" keeps appearing to penetrate our thick headed resistance that the "tree" is indeed dead, and to accept this fact with the sorrowful grace that this elderly couple exhibited.

    I tried contacting Yahoo for some explanation for allowing the continual scheduling of ECTY without
    their reporting. but like our "cherished " company they have an impenetrable curtain that gives no answers.

  • The Yahoo Quarterly Earnings Calendar shows that ECTY is scheduled to report Monday, 9/16. This is the fourth Monday in a row which most probably will not materialize ( at this point does it really matter?) ...Evidently this is a weak ploy to have the investors thinking the company is still alive. Aside from their blatant deception to their investors, their behavior is not only unprofessional, but macabre and sadistic.

    H2O = WATER
    RN = (registered) NURSE

    Unfortunately, I have a few decades head start on Nurse, otherwise I would search the Florida (?) coastline for her charter boat and would sign on as her First Mate (lol). Age is no barrier in the meeting of the minds!

    I appreciate your humor and witticism, which is lifting in our oppressive situation. You bring an energy to this board which is lacking, but understandable given the present outlook.

    Whether they file for BK or not, the network will be maintained by DOE funding,,a buy-out, or take-over after BK. There has been too much invested and the EV makers will not sit idly by as rising gas prices create an increasing demand for their vehicles.

    We remain incommunicado. The only voices are from the legal jackals that gather in a circle, ready to pounce on the dying victim. I called "ECTY North America, " and was told that they are doing business as usual and remain in constant contact with HQ, but have no idea concerning HQ's present position .I also called "Media Contact," and was greeted with voice mail, but no return "contact.'"

    Being foolishly determined, I called HQ and left a different phone number and name on the VM with no call back response. I even went so far as to dial their FAX number, which of course remains disconnected.How tempted I am to salvage the few hundred by selling, but the unlikely chance of a turnaround will push me over the edge if I did so, losing several thousand ( In the background is Sinatra singing, "All Or Nothing At All)".

    The stillness on this board adds to the desolation, even the pumpers and bashers are relatively silent. There is only the sound of day traders jingling their coins as they amass their pennies!

    I'm in the same boat. Had INO at 0.65 and sold it for a quick run to $2.00 with the intention of getting back into INO in a day or two. Meanwhile ECTY sank and INO roared to over 3.00 and I would have made 12K. . Unfortunately, neither of our posts brings consolation to the other.

    ou're right cap'n. Last week was an intense sleuthing attempt that left us clueless. Your mention of resorting to the Magic Eight Ball sounded feasible. At lunch time Friday, I set my target to find a Target at a nearby mall, but they were sold-out of eight balls, so I trekked out to a new Chinese take-out at the far end of the mall and ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan which I carried to one of the four tables. I chose the one next to the artificial bamboo plant with a red ribbon that said "Good Luck." The Moo Goo was greasy and overly salty, so I moved it aside and reached for what I really hungered for, "the fortune cookie!"

    I tore the wrapping with my teeth and crushed the pastry shell, unfurling the paper script which read,
    " Markat alway fool fools, go to casino safer"

  • It has been discovered that the astronaut pilot is an imposter with no true credentials and incapable of space flight, his only experience is12 hours flying a piper cub. It is alleged that he was chosen for this mission by a high ranking official in NASA who is his cousin..He was very popular with his crew members who stated he always wore a smile and has a terrific memory for jokes, but they started to have doubts about his capabilities as the count down progressed, noting that his complexion paled further with each approaching count. As the countdown neared blast-off, a crew member radioed that all systems were "go", but later admitted she lied. As Jackie Gleason often said,"To the moon,Alice!":

    The above does not reflect my mood. My anger is overwhelming, but I am trying to maintain my sanity with a chuckle.

  • At this time tomorrow we might have a better perception as to where we stand. Most of us were under the impression that the 2nd quarter will bring us close to being profitable and blue skies are ahead, instead the ER was delayed and it is questionable as to whether they will actually report tomorrow morning or after the market closes.Then we learned that we were being misled and in actuality, the #$%$ was hitting the fan and cast in all directions.

    More important than an earnings report, which at this time is meaningless, is the presentation of a CC, if Ravi has the guts to face investors after all the lies and dodging we were bombarded with.Many of us are at the cliff's edge, clinging with sweaty hands and hoping for a miracle. Tomorrow we should gain some awareness, if they have some hopeful news, there will be a C C . If they are truant again, then we will know what the writing is on the blackboard.

    You raise a good point which is logical. There's no question that they are playing an avoidance game. If it is just a stall until something positive occurs, that will be fine, but experience tells me otherwise.But as you say, "who knows" or as Lamont Cranston used to say in the old radio program," Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? Only the Shadow knows!"

    BTW, Both swnurse and I called HQ today with no luck in getting a response. Monday will speak for itself.
