wow! Still know anyone high up? Im currently looking for a job as a level 2 helpdesk technician. Im probably one of the hardest working guys I know. Im actually applying to their website today to see if I can get a job with them. But Im looking to go overseas, which seems hard (using Monster) if you arent a native or a DoD employee. Im ex military and an ex Dod employee, which is where my love of working overseas comes from.

wow..1951?? Amazing loyalty. Are you being serious? If you have been rolling your dividends you are one wealthy individual....assuming you bought a nice amount of shares every year?

Seems like IBM is announcing these deals NOW. 1.25 bilion deal has been signed with Lufthansa. Hey, do you know the current short decrease on IBM as of TODAY? I use short squeeze and they show a -21% decrease but I dont know how current that is because its shown that number for awhile.. Has it decreased more since? Thanks

company gets bought out at 55-60 within two weeks. IMHO of course

I learned alot though. I also learned that trying to sell in 1,000 share blocks wasnt working. Me and my broker tried that, instead of making 500 share sells, and that just sat. So he canceled those orders, switched back to 500 share blocks and they were going thru within seconds. Another hmmm moment.

  • ajdoha234 ajdoha234 Nov 2, 2014 1:58 AM Flag

The glitched that caused this was that I missed selling my options before 4pm. I was busy and forgot to hit the sell button. I was literally hitting the sell button when the bell rang. So I had to call TD and they exercised my options and sold them immediately at 500 share blocks.Alot of the aftermarket activity was my broker selling my shares. But when I logged in Saturday I showed a 6 million margin balance. BUT TD ameritrade saw it as an account balance. Now I know they have a glitch...hmmmmm.
On THAT note, the shares were being snatched upon the ask of 1206. That kinda tells me PCLN is going up much higher next week. He had no problem selling all my shares at the ask. I was amazed, and that told me buyers were willing to pay asking prices after the bell at 1206. All in all it worked HUGELY in my favor.

  • ajdoha234 ajdoha234 Nov 2, 2014 1:46 AM Flag

I agree. PCLN, once a year makes crazy moves, maybe twice a year, and it always seems to be on EXpedia earnings during a witching hour Friday, not on their own earnings. Happens EVERY year. I KNEW PCLN was going to go crazy, Look up quad witching hour and you will see what I mean. If you have monk like discipline you could just wait until this day and never make another trade all year. Last Friday was your quad witching hour and that was your day. I made thousands but Im kicking myself, I coulda made alot more. If I had just watched this ONE stock like I said I was (I was watching multiple stocks), I could have played the dips all day and played calls and puts all day. The chart I used was literally telling me all day when to buy and sell the options. BUT, I will be watching PCLN for the rest of the week like a hawk.
You should read my last post. Somehow TD ameritrade exercised my calls and I had 6million dollars credit (I didnt exercise my options, I sold them for a nice profit). So I called them Saturday and fixed it, but the lady on the phone said I had 6million in my account. I should have done a money transfer to my connected bank immediately, and then from that account bank did one from my bank to my wifes bank overseas and picked up the money in cash lol. I wonder if they would have caught it and even if they did, Im overseas. They would have had a hard time getting it back! lol. It was like one of those times where a bank accidentally transfers a huge sum into your account..what do you do?? I did the honest thing and fixed it. I also realized that TDameritrade sees our accounts differently because I didnt see the 6 million as credit, but as margin. Yes, from what I saw, they gave me 6 million on margin. But their software showed me having it in my account...hmmmm. They have a glitch and what caused it was that I held my options until after the closing bell, which were in the money. Im not even close to being that size player..or I wouldnt be on YMB

Im long BBRY but this is a pretty common error. I see it on TD ameritrade as well, but it almost never means anything. I have seen the ask at 10X's the closing price on some stocks before and when the market opens it normalizes back to..well, normal. But hey, we can all dream! GL and lets hope it opens at 18!

Bought some puts OTM. Thought the crackdown in Macau would have had a bigger effect on WYNN earnings. Anyway, I wasnt happy of course but the loss isnt going to kill me by far. It was a lotto ticket and usually I dont play earnings. ANYWAY, it went up..what, almost 9 dollars? And then came crashing back down.
    1) Why? What did I miss?
    2) Call buyers should've won this one. Im a good loser ( sounds strange) and if I had calls I would be #$%$. Someone should win and someone should lose. I hope this skyrockets back up. They killed earnings and call option buyers should have been way in the money. GLTY.
Shoulda got LNKD puts like I was going to yesterday! Dammit. Options, are risky. Should went to Macau and gambled that money. I bet LKND put premiums go thru the ROOF today. Double #$%$.

I agree the rumor could be complete BS. I will say, look at the Oct 31 call options. Someone REALLY really thinks its happening by Oct 31. Then look at Nov options. Almost zero compared to October options. Really makes you go hmmmm.....I bought just a little summin summin on the NOV call options at 11 as strike, just in case. Nothing major, and they were cheap. Couldnt help it after all the rumor mongering and the ridiculous volume in the Oct calls. PLUS, I will add this. Stock almost ALWAYS seem to get downgraded my specific analysts companies RIGHT before a deal is announced and those very same analysts just did a negative dump last week. We will see. But you are probably right. But I kinda hope you are wrong. :) All here to make money right?

    Sentiment: Hold

Just to add left out one of the biggest recoveries from BK of all TIME if you are talking about a low to high figure. Granted, you would have needed balls of titanium to get in when it was low. VERMILLION. Went from VRML to VRMLQ. Went all the way down to ONE penny July 9 2009. Yes, it was selling at one point for .01 cents. Then out of the blue from nowhere, went from .01 to 34 dollars from Jul 9 2009 to Feb 2010 because the FDA approved an ovarian cancer test. They did (I think 2 offerings), shares never were lost (even though most shareholders had already probably bailed and lost all monies. They paid back all creditors with no loss to any current shareholders. Now they are at a #$%$ price but they hit a high of 34 I think. Disclaimer: I have no BK experience, dont own GTAT, and have no idea what will happen. But it looks like they are going to pull out of it? Slowly and painfully but maybe 4-7 bucks is my guess.

Ever had high grade home made rakija? Great stuff. They dont add anything to it so its pure. Wish I had a way to mass produce and sell in the states. Like moonshine only better. I definitely wont be drinking it today as I trade. But tonight, if successful, I will! :) (I never drink and trade at the same time)

  • ajdoha234 by ajdoha234 Oct 23, 2014 11:41 PM Flag

Just woke up (Im in Europe). I was going to sell all my IBIO yesterday, but had to do a passport/visa run from Serbia to Bosnia and came back late. Had some Rakjia with a friend (homemade liqour and great hangover) and fell to sleep so I didnt feel like selling anything when I made it thru the door. Went straight to sleep. Wake up (its 4am here now) and read that Ebola is in NYC. Man, NYC..aint no joke. People keep saying not to panic. Exactly when do we panic? Why the hell are they letting these Doctors fly back with no protocols in place to place them in quarantine for at least a week? I think these doctors deserve the Nobel Peace prize, but C'MON! They come back, walk around for a week or two and BAM. Makes my hair stand on end. Is this a black flag operation??? Almost like its being done on purpose. Plus over 3000 troops are going to Africa? Too late for that AND they are already complaining how they wont have hazmat suits. They will be needed here in a few months. Might as well write off west africa and worry about home now.

Dogs can get the virus and spread to humans. Thats why they euthanized the dog that belonged to the nurse in Spain.

lol..or put the pipe down and make it happen. I will be the first to admit, options are 1) extremely risky or everyone would be doing it 2) Can induce on the spot panic attacks 3) 5-8 bad trades in a row and you need to stick to stocks and forget options ever exist 4) Did I mention instilling a feeling of panic and heart attack like symptoms? 5) You will almost never hit the top or bottom perfectly on a trade..okay..not never will. You need to take gains as they present themselves. 100% on a trade is better than 0% or a full loss. Friday expiration's give you zero chance to get out if a trade goes against you BUT they are the most liquid. On Fridays I tell my wife and kids dont dare to bother me, until I come out the room. I dont drink until Im done (thats another thing, dont drink and trade!) or smoke crack apparently. (??) lol

Meant to say every THOUSAND contracts is worth 100k$ per dollar in price rise or in the case of puts, each dollar decrease. Not each contract. Sorry for the typo. Morning coffee hadnt kicked in yet.
