You attacked your opponent's character or personal traits in an attempt to undermine their argument.
Ad hominem attacks can take the form of overtly attacking somebody, or more subtly casting doubt on their character or personal attributes as a way to discredit their argument. The result of an ad hom attack can be to undermine someone's case without actually having to engage with it.
Example: After Roger presents an eloquent and compelling case to sell SIRI stock, I ask the board whether we should believe anything from a person from Texas with conservative views and a strong work ethic.
Well you got your wish guggerpaul. We have moved away from $3.70.
I've been waiting for an invitation for about 10 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Boy do I miss Roger. Gone for years but I still fantasize about his stock picks to this day. I'm obsessed with him and think about his financial prowess all the time.
No one knows more about stock picking. We'll maybe Crusty and Cramer but that's about it. Certainly not Faulkner.
FLIR would make more money if they broadened their customer base. FLIR has a high overhead low volume sales process that is not maximizing shareholder value. FLIR is leaving the door open to cheap foreign producers who will gladly eat their lunch.
I remember when those dirty terrorist ruined the Munich Olympics but I don't remember when international9929764 wasn't whining about manipulation or something?
