That is not factual--you may use the old cord if you wish-- the "delivery " people want you to use a new cord but it is NOT LAW ( at least where I have lived in southern states) Cords are overpriced at time of purchase but so is delivery. It is not rocket science to hook up a washer and dryer. It is simply an "add on" for more profit ( as is the "PROTECTION " agreement). The people you are "protecting" yourself from are the ill trained technicians who usually can not repair the appliance in the first place. They say it "has no warranty" if you do not purchase a new cord but that is simply hogwash. It has a warranty if YOU install it. Again common sense has given way to "profit" motive. A failing company using excuses to not pay warranty.. For this old tired retiree it is simply shameful. You can no longer TRUST the satisfaction guarantee or your money back slogan. But believe me-- at one time it was truly real and enforced.

    Enjoy the ride!!!!
